If the display case had a UV-protective coating, I'd definitely buy it, since I could then display the model on a windowsill without worrying about sigtificant yellowing over time.

If you can't afford contained display solutions like this, or are unwilling to spend money on such a product, I'd definitely recommend investing in a handheld vacuum cleaner for semi-regular cleaning of your displays. Just be careful with the more fragile parts of models and any applied stickers or scratch-prone pieces like windshields or smooth panels. Some vacuums also come with tools and attachments to help reach the often cramped interiors of Lego models, such as those found in basically all Technic vehicles. To be honest a small vacuum is a good idea for any Lego builder who likes to display their models, with or without display cases.

150 pounds for 5 pieces of acrylic? Really? That's almost same price as for Concorde itself :D They can't be serious ...

Not sure if you've tried to buy acrylic sheets lately, let alone have them cut to size and figure out how to make a box out of them. You'd be surprised...

I have some of their cases that I originally got for the GT3 and Bugatti. They certainly kept most of the dust off but when I moved to a larger house I got a display cabinet instead. I'm not planning to get the Concorde as it's too big, but if I was getting the set I would consider the case. Not sure if I missed it in the video but the dimensions of the case would be interesting to know.

nice but imo very VERY expensive, 200x80 cm case with glass doors from ikea are in price range of this case or even cheaper.

nahhhh i think its good enough just bare, no glass case and all, i dont think its worth it, maybe led lights would make it look slightly better but thats a different style of display so yeah its really up to you to decide

it needs led lights and a landing strip under it, otherwise the case and plane combo is banging

I have display case by iDisplayit for Lego minifigures. I bought display case for 40 minifigs, this display case is relative compact and top part is space on next Lego set. I really happy, that I bought this display case.

I get cases from kingdom brick supply for the huge star wars sets. I have a couple of other ones I got from Amazon for the 1/8 cars that are pretty good. Your Concorde needs to have the gear down if the nose is down.

did it take 8 weeks to arrive after they said they'd send it to you? delivery is dead slow.

It took around 3 weeks, but I guess it depends on the target country as well

Jó cucc. De EU-n belül is lehet ilyeneket venni. A Concorde-hoz nem néztem mostanában, de máshoz már igen. A sisakokhoz utoljára 70€ volt. Ezért is kezdtem el sajátot gyártani, mert egy 80x50 cm 2mm vastag akril tábla 21€ körül van. A Millenium Falcon-hoz 200€ volt pár éve (olyan, mint amit a Concorde-hoz vettél) és +40€ lett volna még a tartó, de azt nem vettem. Szép dísze a nappalinak a dohányzóasztalban. És ami a legfontosabb, hogy nem porosodik a lego, a vitrint meg egyszerű takarítani.

I understand that mamy hours were put in the work of designing it, making it etc but damn. It cost as much as a set it should protect. Who is actually gonna buy it?

Once you design it you just change the dimension for each other set..

This is DEFINITELY not worth almost as much as the set itself! It looks very bland and the only cool thing about it is the stand! It is worthless!!

Worthless is a bit strong since it does its job beautifully. Yet, I agree, acrylic cases for lego in general are wildly cost prohibitive for those of us with large collections. The enclosed bookcase makes much more sense practically and monetarily.

The screw fittings really disturb the look of the case. I don't think it's worth that much.

This is simply a scam 150pounds for some poorly cut out acrylic glasses. As echoed in the comments, perhaps with UV treatment it could be worth about half, but nonetheless extortion of lego customers' willingness to pay

with that small door on the back, this display cases is 100% worthless for protecting the set from dust very easy pass

Even my IKEA bookshelves behind me are protecting the sets from most of the dust, and they have a very visible gap between the doors. That tiny cutout on the door won't make any difference, unless of course you put it in a wood workshop.
