that is good for general consumer, cheap rice in the market from imported rice, but what will happened to our local rice farmers. Their product is not even enough for labor and production cost. Much better for them to plant other valuable crops or find alternative livelihood, planting rice is not even option. Why does the Goverment is not helping farmer by boosting rice production, farm to market road,post harvest facility, finance lending, irrigation etc. If we increase our rice production we can reduce importation both consumer and producer benifeted. Win win win solution. Produce by the local consume by the local, being raised as a farmer, I love the Filipino farmers .I love the Philippines Mabuhay !!

Problem is, even there is rice tarrification the price is still remains at 50-55 kilos. Are there any goverment bodies roaming to inspect all prices nationwide? Tarrification is not happening outside. Take a look.

So paano ang minimum wage ng mang gagawa. Pag ganyan P98/day na ang labor ng farmer? @P12/kilo palay na naging resulta ng gawa niyo na yan. Ok ba sa inyo kahit mag trabaho pa ng 27hrs/day ang farmer di makabuhay ng family
