The ironic thing about Sephiroth is that he NEVER uses his full powers. FFVII, Advent Children, etc. It was stated that there is no one above him, and he is the strongest, but he lost to the others and Cloud still, as if there's he's holding back or unable to release his full power.

***** Most of them just don't do as well though, Exdeath can't go a 3 sentences without repeating something to do with the 'void', Kefka is more taunting, Jetch is really more braggy than anything else, ect. Sephiroth just out and out insults them and/or says he's about to kill them, no special gimmick or apologizes.

***** My point was that there was nothing extra, no gimmick or repeat, he didn't go on one thing for every quote. If you disagree fine, it's called an opinion, there's no need to harp about it, because I don't care, and I don't know why you do.

***** I'm not saying he's the best character ever, I like him quite a bit, because he's threatening and has a good back story, but Kefka is good as well, and while not a villain I like Lightning, I'd probably love her if she was in a better game. Terra is a great character and one of my favorites, it's just that Sephiroth is the one I truly think of as scary, Kefka is as well but I also find him funny s that balances out better, and of course Lightning and Terra are good guys(girls). Jetch is good but I feel sorry for him beyond anything else. My point is I like the FF series, but I don't like many of the villains, and Sephroth is the only one that I like and is determined, rather than insane or brain washed.

***** I think the real problem is most of the villains are rather generic, I can't even remember a good chunk of there names, more than one of them(Golbez, Jetch) aren't even in control of there actions and the 'true' villains are completely forgettable. After all of that your only left with who? Kefka, Sephiroth, and...maybe some one from your favorite game. And between the two of them I don't find Kefka that scary, he's an animal, he doesn't have a high goal in mind or anything, he's just insane and got lucky. After all of that Sephiroth is the only one left that's memorable and I find somewhat threatening.

***** Kefka has his moments, at the same time how did he get to such a high position in the first place, I doubt he had the patience to go the legitimate route, so he was either helped or killed everyone above him, without someone stronger than him coming along, either way is luck.

mywlan2 You mean "Hell's Gate". No really a size of a nuke, Black Materia has bigger blast radius. The problem with sephiroth is he's fast, hits well, and has an attack where he blocks the enemy and strikes, so yeah.

i found kefka hard to me but not sephiroth. the only Attack i hate is his octaslash.

DeluxStart Well, it also depends a bit on your play style. If you play more defensively, and dodge and try to counter, he'll be easier to defeat than some other characters, as some of his attacks leave him wide open. For instance, scintilla, if you dodge it and you're above Sephiroth, you basically get a free attack if you time it well, same for octaslash. Another one of his attacks, this time a bravery attack (Don't really remember it's name, it's the one where he attacks you once, and if it lands, goes behind you, while you are repetitively damaged from it before being launched away from him) if dodged, leaves just enough time to line most hp attacks before he can do anything. So when fighting him, I recommend waiting for him to move first, dodging, and attacking when he's open. However, if playing offensively, due to his quick attacks, great range and scintilla, you'd have to be pretty skilled to win, as most of the time he'll either land a hit before you do if you're not careful. All characters have a good strategy that can be used against them if you can exploit their weaknesses and use your character's strengths well.
