Thanks again for having me guys! Super fun. I also got my hands on a Janice Thrasher after our conversation, so when that comes in I'll be able to test and compare the two!

Been eyeing the Tern to gauge if it'll go further than some 9 speeds I'm throwing! I have a copy of The Perks of Being a Wallflower that's written up in the margins with a few friends that have borrowed it over the years. Book was hyped hard at launch and again with the movie release, but probably the only sentimental value book to grab!

Great job again, boys! These are very helpful! I need to make a list of all the suggested discs and their purpose. As far as books...it would have to be "I just don't like the sound of no" for my 3 year old daughter. I read that book every night haha. Not sure about how intellectual it is, but there is some wisdom in that book. Thanks, again!!!

Love your podcast! Thank you! Your google guest request form is working, but it has someone else’s email in it that gets sent in, and in the “tell us about yourself” section it has a description set that says something about someone from Finland, and you can’t change it.

I picked up a lightly used Thrasher. I managed to throw some hyzer flips which stood up late with my s-medium arm. But it doesn't burn over as much as I thought it might based on that when hit more flat. It's a really good disc. Brodie Smith: right again.😆

a great book that everyone should read is "The Codex" authored by Douglas Preston a multiple times "NYT best selling" author. great book, "loosely" based on a man named Forrest Fenn who wrote a book called "The Thrill of the Chase", where in real life Fenn hid a treasure chest worth 2million+ somewhere in the Rocky mountains-which was found a couple years ago. both books are good, but The Codex is the book I'd save from a fire. I could definitely put good use to a *Tern, my current one is a couple years old and starting to flip over too much, and my other Tern is a new champion metal flake and it is really really stable

Hey Robbie! I'm just curious on something. From my experience and listening to pros talk about it, the fact the Forehands and Backhands fly different is not because you get more spin on a forehand(It seems to be the opposite), but that more often people have poor forehand form. Off-axis torque, wobble, which causes the disc to seem more understable. Not because of more spin but because of less spin. Thoughts? Love the Show !
@DavidCornelius
@DavidCornelius 2 жыл бұрын
That's my understanding as well. I think most people get less spin on a forehand. Spin adds stability, so for example, a low spin flippy disc on a forehand is extra flippy and turns and burns. This problem is compounded for people who can forehand with high velocity. The bandaid for low spin + high velocity is a high speed overstable disc. Now that I have a decent flick to my forehand release, I routinely forehand things like meteors and mambas. I would have laughed at this even being possible when I was a beginner.
