it would have been much better if I had a better recording set up to work with because I feel like a lot wasn’t coming across properly and this was my third recording attempt. I think I’m going to try setting up something better for future projects.

another characteristic of that original 70s design is there was no filter capacitor in the feedback loop of the op amp and later modifications or evolutions from that had started to add a few tens of pF there. it also sounds different depending on the amplifier set up. Apparently trying to go into a clean amplifier it just sounds harsh and unuseable but going into something already distorted is supposed to enhance it.

you need a valve amp, nicer harmonic distortion. 🙂@@GadgetReboot

One of my possible experiments might include that but if I need higher volume that will be a problem unless I build an isolated speaker cabinet box or get a power attenuator so I can turn things up

Any musical gear designed in the 70s should stay there. Not one person I know who is influenced by that Era can play to save their soul. That damn c major or Dorian mode scale ruins people who play. I can't condone it. Ha I only play in the first five frets if my balls are itchy or something distracts me haha.if a cowboy chord shape infects my left hand I know it's time to stop playing or put on the metronome. Avoiding the first five frets and not touching ead at all until the 7th fret were the best things I ever done. Guitars have 2 octaves for a reason. Most people get lost past fret 14 and it makes most players lazy. They eventually play in dropped d ffs because they want 1 finger power chords. Im.a music snob though. I think the circuit analysis is great though. Go watch the pedal kit builder channels if you want to know why most people think musicians are lazy knuckle daggers. Some guy put me under this morning man and I still haven't recovered. I didn't troll either, I provided constructive feedback for once because every play should aspire to play better crap than Jimmy Pages lazy riffing. Rock has come a long way and it doesn't get enough credit.haha ramble over.
