Wireless pedalboards and miking live and in the studio are a reality! In this video, we dive deep into the world of wireless systems, focusing on the Xvive U3 Wireless System. We’ll explore how this device can revolutionize your guitar and bass pedalboards, making them completely wireless and freeing you from the constraints of cables.
But that’s not all! We’ll also delve into the art of using wireless microphones for miking guitar and bass speaker cabinets. Learn how to capture the purest tones and the most authentic sounds without the hassle of tangled wires or the limitations of stationary mics.
From demoing the Xvive U3 to setting it up, from integrating it into your pedalboard to testing it out in a live performance, we cover it all.
Join us me this journey and discover how going wireless can elevate your stage and studio game. Say goodbye to the limitations of the past.

Always a good day when you put out a video! You're looking good, I hope all is good. I use a wireless as part of my rig but slightly differently to what you were showing. I run a cable from my pedal board (noise gate) to the amp, but between my bass and the pedal board is nothing but air. Love the freedom of having no cable to accidentally stand on or get tangled in. Now I'm thinking I'll look at getting something like the U3 and going straight from my DI (through which everything loops) to the amp in the practice room at least.

Had something like this in mind for a while but never implemented it because I thought I was losing my mind. Now there’s no longer any excuse. Thanks Rodney.

@@RodneyMcG I am sure it will. Recently I bought the XVive U4 and that unit astonished me. I bet running the U3 along side it from the amp/pedal board on a different channel will allow me to rollerskate across the stage while pedal dancing :-)

Sir, a wealth of info as usual. Your room is so cool looking. When I was heavy gigging back in the stone age, I tried a couple of Sure wireless units on bass but it was too unreliable.Players today have it made.You're looking good,hope all well.

I could definitely see myself using something like that because I have my mic preamps in the back of my bass amp rack because I do both bass and vocs in my band

It would be interesting to see and hear the sound comparison between analog and modern digital circuits. Is anybody really missing anything? Anymore, in music production, there is inevitably something digital between the artist and your ear, a pedal, a mixer, a DAW, your phone, bluetooth, etc.

Welcome back. Yeah YT has been pretty crap. I put out videos over the past months that people didn't know about. Now you know why people beg for people to subscribe and do the bell, etc. The algorithm is always out to screw you! Good to see you!

@@RodneyMcG I try to interact as much as I can with your videos to "help the algorithm". Ok now I'm very irritated with FB! I just went to see if you posted links to the Mosh Pit and saw a bunch of posts I missed. The last thing I saw was your posting the Riot 5 in February! These algorithms suck! Great to see you posting content as you are able! I look forward to more! 😃👍

Ya I was Looking on getting into the whole wireless and in-ear game honestly, was just hoping that there was some cheaper options out there than the Shure pedal. Will definitely check out the other videos you made on it. Cause ya that sure pedal is like 700$ CDN where the Xvive is like 270$, time to wait for a sale to get it for even cheaper 😂

Unless there's something wrong with the wireless, then there's a gain stage issue somewhere.

Great idea but I think you’re going to have trouble convincing a real studio to let you use wireless in your signal chain. Sounds like a good idea live though.

@@RodneyMcG I guess that works if you’re paying for your own studio time. If the label is paying for the studio time it might be a different story.

If you're in one of the 3 bands actually getting label support, congratulations. The fact is however, the label doesn't pay for shit. You pay for it, they just give you a loan. It's still your money, and I guess I just have this bad habit of standing up for myself.
@Bobby_Uterus
@Bobby_Uterus 2 ай бұрын
@@RodneyMcG You are 100% correct about it being your money and a loan. musicians are usually broke. The label “if they are good” usually already has connections and dependable producers as well as done a lot of the leg work with studios. I’d just hate to be the guy that hung up production because I insisted on using a certain piece of gear. When you are working with a label you don’t have a lot of say in things as far as production. I’d like to record as a full band on the floor rather than tracking piece by piece but that won’t be happening. Relapse has been supporting a few bands I’m aquatinted with. They ain’t living like rock stars but they are playing for a living. I’m not dogging your idea, just pointing out that studio techs may frown on this the way they do when someone brings in a pod or old boss multi effects and insists on using it. If doing one’s own production, do whatever tickles your pickle.
