As it turns out, there are a lot of hidden gems in the pawnshops around the world and we were lucky enough to see some and even take two home. Van Cleef & Arpels is up there with Graf. Their use of invisible setting in rubies and sapphires is so distinct, you can spot their work a mile away. And it aint cheap!

Crazy small world my grandparents on my dad's side had 2 jewelry stores one in Joliet Illinois, and their first store in the diamond district less than a half block from your shop 60 years ago my dad has a picture of him and my grandfather posing in front where your store is but half a decade ago. When it was different can't make our the name! I wish I could visit out there now, I wish I could afford to get some of your pieces they are all beautiful and you are one amazing salesman and straight up man!!! I'm a salesman through and through and respect you so much how you do your business and teach others..as well but in also semi disabled :( trying to get better at 35.. Working on my own hardships with the disease I have... Instead of buying jewelry I'm 35, and I'm buying $55,000 worth of implants for my mouth to save my life, confidence, and smile.. Random story but thought I'd share. You are the highlight of my day when u see your videos! Thank you so much m, again wish I could be out there, or you could be doing something in Los Angeles! Pawn shops are a great place to find a good deal on jewelry, but I'd never do it. You know damn well that a good amount of the items in pawn shops are stolen and sold for pennies on the dollar to fund a drug habit. There's too much desperation and negative energy associated with items in pawn shops.

Sir, there's desperation and negative energy with every piece of jewelry that contains a diamond or similar stone. Lest not forget the horrific conditions of the mines and countries where these gems come from. I'm not sure where most gold comes from, but I'm willing to bet exploitation is also involved during the collection of gold. @@Danny-sd5vm

Great video! Max is doing some cool stuff. It's like antique road show stuff. No anger and no rage. "Hulk smash"!! Put that diamond necklace in the yahuda 😂 Max take us up to the floor where all the hassidic jewish folks selling diamonds. In the lobby you need to pass a high level security check. "High level" like background checks and things like that because them folks are carrying items worth lots of money. That floor has Indians and some middle eastern and Russians I think not all hassidic but I'd say lot more jewish folks than other ppl.

The real business is being rapaport. They're "back to back" with no risk, selling items that are "as is", with no need for store front presence. I'm sure they let the guys they trust "walk down the street" with certain pieces to close a deal. Trax' body language was off here. He saw how hard he's worked to build TraxNYC and what it's like being the REAL middleman. Not the guy pushing product to the street. Fuck it I'm buying lab 😂
