I always loved the shots with the wheel spinning in the corner while they showed the puzzle.

God I miss Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud (Dawson's my favorite) on Daytime Television NBC, CBS & abc made a mistake getting rid of Game Shows so that they can let these local affiliates fill their schedules with crummy talk shows, news magazines and NBC decides to fill their daytime schedule with 4 freakin' hours of TODAY
@OliveOyl12590 Жыл бұрын
@@tnawcwvictoria The network affiliates weren't making any money from the advertisements when they were broadcasting the network feeds. This was also right around the time the climate was changing where the networks weren't getting the clearance to carry the network programs because affiliates were preempting the feeds for news or other syndicated programs. HERE'S THE EDIT The networks were still rolling out full five hour Saturday Morning cartoons and the affiliates were scrapping some or all of the network's programs or running other network shows off feed. Kind of the same way some of the ABC affiliates carried Family Feud. A lot of the affiliates ran the episodes a week or two behind the network feed because Family Feud ran on the ABC feed at Noon Eastern. The affiliates carried the news at that time so you really had to pay attention to what time your affiliate carried Family Feud and it's other network programming.

About 9 1/2 years later the syndicated version got its own Jackpot wedge/round that started at $5,000/day Monday-Thursday and in its early years $10,000 for the top 3 winners of the week returning on Fridays

Wow! A rare gem 💎 in this episode of wheel of fortune someone won with only $1000 in cash and prizes in today's wheel of fortune most people win with at least $10,000 in cash and prizes partly because of the toss ups and prize 🏆🥇 puzzle
@joshandallo2170 Жыл бұрын
Correction: $1,000 in prizes. It wasn't until 1989 on the daytime show that you could win guaranteed cash and prizes. 😉

God I miss Wheel of Fortune on NBC Daytime, I mean don't get me wrong, I still love Wheel on syndication, but it was something special about NBC Daytime Shopper's Format, the $2000 space which is my favorite and also, this was back when NBC Daytime had Game Shows and Soaps unlike today which is nothing but Days of our Lives and 4 Hours of TODAY

I wish network daytime television would return to the days of game shows and soaps. All daytime television in this day and age is nothing but lame talk shows and court shows and we don't need four friggin hours of the Today Show.
@teddyjam81342 жыл бұрын
Yep daytime TV used to be great with game shows, soaps, and even reruns of some of my favorite comedies in the summer like who's the boss and family ties. The price is right and win lose or draw were 2 of my favorite game shows to watch.
