I was thinking the same thing. It's just a click-bait title. In the description underneath the video they literally contradict the title by mindlessly copy-pasting the synopsis which describes him more as the hero of the story and includes the statement that the aliens 'find support in a government agent', that being this character. By the way I'm Dutch so idk if I'm biased - I guess not because I think the Dutch English accent sounds horrific - but I love this exact type of South African accent. (The connection with Dutch is from most white people in SA coming from Dutch ancestry because the Dutch were the first non-native settlers (like most places around the world they were there hundreds of years before England), despite the fact that the English finally drove the Boer tribes (the Dutch descended settlers were actually recognized by the native population as a tribe) further and further North because unlike the Dutch, "great" Britain were backstabbing - which is how they betrayed them on the battlefield against the French by joining the enemy and ended the Dutch naval trade freedom and supremacy in wealth, culture and science up until then - imperialists who didn't go around trading, but landed everywhere to slaughter the natives and claim land for their Royal Crown. The Boer tribes (Dutch people who had come from privately funded trade companies; not a royal military force grabbing land for the monarchy like England) didn't like their rule and actually kept moving further North as English greed expanded its territory to exploit more land for gold to steal and bring back to Britain, so by far the majority of the Boeren had abandoned the Southern parts like Kaapstad and Johannesburg, by the time they'd been driven so far that they were sick of it and fought (the Boer Wars; the first of which was won by the much less powerful Boeren, and the second time England won by sending masses of troops over from home). Given all that; it's quite amazing that the majority of whites living in the big cities near the coast (first sailed around and charted by the Dutch trade compagnies 200 years before England decided to pillage and claim the land) are descended from the Boeren, and speak Afrikaans (simply the dutch word for African) which is just a modified version of Dutch, and is pretty much mutually understandable by Dutch and Afrikanen back and forth still; and Wikus Van De Merwe in this clip (an old Dutch name by the way) has that classic white SA accent which actually shares many similarities with a Dutch accent, except it's much more pleasant IMO. It has some of the old Flemish sound to it (Dutch speaking Belgium which used to be part of The Dutch Republic), giving it a more jolly endearing tone than the usual Dutch (Amsterdam for example) person speaking English, which sounds horrible to me.
