We have a bigger % of addicts than allmost any city in US but our addicts have homes. They die at home and not on the street. We have plenty of people smoking meth here. And that is a safe drug conpared to the shit kids take these days.

There's only one small spot with junkies here. Outside the metro station, a place called "Piritori" (Amphetamine Square). Otherwise it's 100% OK. This is THE place to live in the city. All the hipsters live in here, etc. For tourists I suggest to visit this area. Go to a bar and talk to the locals.

What about smaller towns like kotka, kouvola, lahti, lappeenranta and maybe kerava? There you can see the real action.

Helsinki and its surroundings must be one of the most depressing place on earth. I´ve been living there many years and I never want to go back.

Not really ,i think it depends on how you spent your time in Helsinki.Sure winter time is a bit hard but ....

@@maryambrahim82 For me it´s not only about the hard winter which also exist in many other contries but it´s more about the people and the general feeling in the city which is definately extremely depressing when you live there. Not as tourist of course.
