Wrench the robot heads to half the time to break them apart

I would also add to your leather tips that the Savage Frontier stores/clothiing stores are particularly more attractive as loot priorities then they would normally be because of the clothing you can break down into leather items,, and most savage frontier stores also have a decent amount of bookshelves so with ever trip to a savage frontier you can come away looking good, learn something new, ,and make yourself a new pair of boots as well!.

I dont know how but you figured I started my new play-through with District Zero and needed help. My reaction to your posted video: "well, thats bloody convenient!" :) Thanks! my biggest issue early levels was robots re-spawning at all times... and starting on survivalist permadeath from the go.. I kited some away from trader and on my way back: you get a respawn, you get a respawn and you too!! Cleared them all: you get a respawn, you get a respawn and you too!! OH BLOODY HELL COME ON! lol

Your avatar is pretty unique... so I spot it before I read the name. Always good to see your posts. :) I are settling directly in the city? My base on my vanilla and District Zero playthrough was the same, on the outskirts farming area. After the first week I have found the spawns dry up a lot. In fact, besides the wandering hordes, I would not see a zombie or bot around my base or at the trader (next door). There were bots and zombies in the trader when I arrived on day 1, but after I cleared them out, and put a claim block in trader Jen's compound, the monsters dried up.

@@SnowBee I guess placing the claim block should help; I was just tired running around jens compound and killing same zombies over and over when kiting them away didnt do much. Its on the outskirts with farms; def away from city center and large pois. Thanks for the tip.

I started playing D-zero because of you and im on day 4 and struggling with the very issues you start this video with, your video has impeccable timing and i had no idea that you can pick up pretty much the entire world and scrap it which is going to change my solo play in big ways!. Thank you for reading my mind and providing perfectly timed assistance. Also...I like the fact that the robots are for the most part so quiet, makes them more terrifying and really requires you to scout out your surroundings before looting it. I miss the animals and things of flesh, even rotting flesh which...is the point of this mod is it not? Lol. Fight the machine Snowbee, I...and undoubetly others stand by you! You are the next John Conner!.

Haha, thanks for your really flattering words :) Yeah, I am in two minds about them being so quiet. I like the life the monsters bring with their sound effects, but I do appreciate how they sneak up on you, and you need to be on the look out :)

Wow, those mechs completely destroyed and one shotted Jen's place. Glad they only come in later for horde nights.

Yeah, with heavy armour their lasers are not that bad. But you can also kite the lasers while in open ground.

Not really, I play w/o horde-nights and I had a Mech roaming around my improvised base at about level 3

@@jk0000079 Was your base close to the city? I have done two play throughs, well, one only lasted about 10 days, but I have had a very peaceful start in both, and only seen mechs in the city. However, I did see a mech on the outskirts near a trader on my early 1.0.7 start. Just even then, the city was quite close by. I know that one only rocked up in the night. I wonder if they come out more at night on the outskirts? I know in the city they definitely spawn at night a lot more.

@@SnowBee it was right next to a trader at the outskirts of a city, coincidentally around 300m away from the next T5 POI. Still, when I first saw (and test-attacked) one at level 3, I was not sure if this mod is something I wanted to continue playing🤣

I honestly find the robot concept better then the zombies, make it por appealing as robots doomsday scenario is much more posible than zombies!

Yeah, it depends on the mod. Some allow it, some don't. So you can easily miss it from mod to mod :)

wrench used to be the weapon to go against robots ,, but got nefed in the last patch

No idea :) It is what I got out of the software when trying to generate a mech picture that had a similar look as to some of the mechs in District Zero. So there is a resemblance but far from the same.

only issue i have is getting nitrate and stuff for gunpowder... any tips for that?

Coal and Nitrate are the same as vanilla mining. What is the problem? You could also change your tactics to using melee for a while and ranged for the higher end bots. Otherwise you need to make a lot of auto miners.

I am unsure if I understand you. Meat is made automatically, the same as water in the dew collector. So you don't add anything, just wait. Am I understanding your question?

My only beef is why would he leave that stone crap as a lootable item? Who would be carrying a stone hammer or shovel in a hover car? Seriously? Stone tools should have only ever been a starter item and never anything you should be looting. It's not like you can craft a stone wrench.

I would be for the removal of all ancient tools and have the new tech as entry level. Just have to balance the tools and weapons.

@SnowBee personally I think it'd make more sense.. either make the new tools upgrades above steel or simply replace the vanilla tools with the futuristic ones.. currently it just seems redundant.

@@shadowproductions969 Yeah, the upgrades after steel will take too long to get to. However, I guess you could rebalance the lower tier stuff to appear and complete quicker. Then you could get to the new tech quicker. All the overhaul I know of generally keep vanilla weapons/tools. I wonder if there is a problem if you removed them, or if it could lead to a massive amount of work to keep the mod stable without them.

I am unsure what zilox has done about traders in the most recent version, however, this problem if I recall is related to a version mismatch. Possibly your DZ version is incorrect for the alpha 21 version you are using?

Im RP the f out of it as "gone rogue Ai" and wiped all humans. "KILL ALL HUMANS" "MUST KILL ALL HUMANS" Benders vibes. Hilarious. I now must find a way to have a Bender as rogue robot saying this. I MUST!
