Vídeo Original ( Original Vídeo ) on Instagram: / b-hpkohgd1q
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tiago Teixeira was the creator of this video at the beginning of the Pandemic in 2020.
Sadly, Tiago Teixeira lost the Battle against Depression and took his own life.
Initially I changed the video to private, but I thought it would be good to keep it public and continue sharing something about Tiago with the world.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Tribute to the Heroes Fighting to save lives: • Lauren Daigle - Rescue...
Due to a copyright infringement, that I tried to resolve without success (so far at least), I was forced to create this second version. The response to my original video was both overwhelming and unexpected. I am publishing this second version without part of the footage previously used, and replaced it with some more images that I found quite impressive as well. Paris is more salient now, Chicago was tuned down a bit (some people complained about the original version having too much Chicago), added a dash of Lisbon, and a scene that might seem to be religiously biased but that I believe encompasses the solitude and starkness of our times. Values such as preseverance and fortitude facing obstacles and the hope of "rebirth" after hardship were concepts that I tried to convey in pictures. I also thought it was an appropriate scene to include, being that today is Easter. I hope you don't get offended by it.
In redoing this video, I am fully aware that it wont recover the views that the original one had amassed. I'm sorry for those that wanted to see the original version, read through the comments, etc, and now have to see this one instead. I tried to fix a few errors, and tried to make it better in some regards at least.
As I said in the original video: "I found the images of the emptiness captured on cities all over the world to be heartbreaking and eerie. We are living a surreal situation. I decided to edit this video using footage from several famous cities; New York, Chicago, San Francisco (briefly), Budapest and Paris. With the images of the chinese quarter in Chicago at the start of the video I tried to make a reference to the virus' origin, and to the chineses cities that were placed in lockdown. I don't mean to point fingers with it. Hope you enjoy the video. The song choice was "Sound of Silence", by Simon and Garfunkel (Disturbed cover)."

Stay safe and may Light be with you all.

For those of you who are saying this is not an uplifting song and to listen to the lyrics-you’re actually quite right. The visual impact of the empty cities are uplifting because they show the sacrifices human beings are making to protect the most vulnerable among us. The lyrics to the song, however, are filled with pent-up anger, and I was so glad that Disturbed realized this and that David Draiman performed it with such emotional intensity. It’s a song that expresses anger and disappointment with the world and the people who have no desire to change anything. When you look at the lyrics through that lens, you can see that there’s a darker way of interpreting this song right now. Over 360,000 lives have been lost in the U.S. alone(including my grandfather’s), but the cries of the grieving can barely be heard over the cacophony of voices screaming and shouting about the inconveniences they’re being subjected to, their right to gather without masks and reopen businesses regardless of the cost of human life, and their constant minimization of COVID for political and economic purposes. But when we look to the president and some of our fellow citizens to seek comfort in our grief, to beg them to protect the safety of our loved ones and look past the dollar signs they see on their faces, and to do everything they can to ease the burden and trauma on our healthcare workers, we’re met with.....silence.

The times we’re all dealing with...frightening and full of uncertainty “The Sound of Silence” as performed by Disturbed...powerful and somber all at once This video...strangely *disturbing* and yet beautiful at the same time. To whom it may concern, you deserve worldwide recognition for having the vision to combine the elements of our humanity with the haunting visuals of a world where we are currently advised to (at least publicly) abandon our social norms for our own safety, seemingly leaving a skeleton of our normal lives behind. This is easily one of the greatest music videos I’ve seen!

Glad this is still here. So powerful. We've lost so much, by one man's misuse of power during this pandemic. Not the least of which is the brotherhood we were starting to feel, and what usually would have been Americans rising to help each other, instead he used it to bring us to the brink of war. That, and half a million dead, and will we ever recover who we were, haunts me. This compilation speaks to all of that... Thanks again

I have got to admit about being a butt head about other singers singing SoS by S&G. After all I was there when SoS was born on the radio. It was beautiful and easy to relate to as a teenager. So,over the decades I tried to listen to other singers and they just massacred it. I listened to Disturbed before and never finished the song .I just X out and moved on. Then tonight I found this Disturbed version and it all became clear. The visual aid put the song in perspective for me. I also found like other listeners that Disturbed put strong emotions to the words. The tone was almost a displeasure or anger about people bowing and praying to neon gods. Good job guys. It was a powerful rendition. I like it.

Such an amazing song, and relevant to the current crises we are all going through. The world is a quiet empty space. We are all praying and hoping for this to end. So many lives lost. It is truly scary.

Such a beautiful work of art and testament to the times we are living in. I am an essential worker in food service - taking care of the nutritional needs of Catholic Sisters in their place of residence and myself and co-workers feel blessed doing so. Thankfully none of our ladies have contracted this dreadful virus. Thank you for this. Much love and virtual hugs from Kansas. 💗🌻

I think this whole situation is a wake up to humanity. We need to look after and love each other. Treasure each other, our families, friends and neighbours, and even those we don’t know who need help and support.

Eight months ago, I found your video and have not forgotten about it since. Eight months later, I am revisiting it. After nearly a year of being on lockdown, this video made me open my mind to many things such as never to take for granted the good people in our lives because we can never tell who stays and who goes.

I'm not into this band's style, but, after hearing this on an episode of Blacklist I had to find who did this version of SOS. I have to say, this is the BEST version of it ever. Its emotional and the performer has a magnificent voice. Great job!

By far, one of the most hauntingly beautiful videos that I've ever seen on KZfaq. This is epic and historic, and while very tragic and sad, its also one of the most unique moments in modern history, and hope this crises will soon pass.

I heard this version of S.O.S. in an episode in Season 5 of The Blacklist during a pivotal scene and it literally gave me shivers & threw me into an emotional loop. I had to watch that episode about 10x before I could stop myself. Now seeing this video with this song, it got me all chocked up again because it fit perfectly in this new world we're living in. T HK is should be shown on regular tv all of the time!!!!! I 💙 this video, this song & Disturbed for taking such an iconic song & turning it into new meaning!
