You're right that Disturbed has some heavier songs. But, I find that, in so many of their songs, there is a positive thread running through. This song is one of my favorites, and one I listen to often, especially when I am feeling like I'm hitting my head against a wall. That was a lovely reaction. You have a way of digging into the meaning of a song that I find very interesting. Thank you for reacting to "The Light". PS. I love David's voice, also.

When I lost my wife in 2018 from OVARIAN Cancer this song really helped me to find the Light in that very Dark Time!

David is one of the most versatile vocalist. The two songs you have reacted to so far, are on the lighter side of what Disturbed is known for. I love all of their music, the lighter and the darker. His vocals in "Down with the sickness" is incredible.

David's gritty voice is his signature sound. I would suggest Stupify by Disturbed. They are one of my favorite bands. I liked your reaction for this video. 🤘

Just saw Disturbed a few weeks ago with Breaking Ben and Jinjer. One of the best shows I've seen this year. David is working through some sh!t ight now. Look and you'll see what I mean.

David Draiman...amazing range and control...a powerful yet soulful voice that can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from clear as a crystal to rasp/distortion/vocal fry and back on a dime, which is incredibly difficult to do . He has a timbre in his voice that I've never heard before.....just hauntingly beautiful and pure tonal properties to it! ...one of the best male vocalists on the planet imho. Loved your reaction.

I love David's voice, too, so much! So many of Disturbed's lyrics are really inspiring when you break them down. There are certainly much heavier songs, but under the distortion and grit of those heavier songs, you still hear the melodic nature, you can understand most of the words, and it still soars. You may find that if you start with these lighter ones, you'll fall in love with the heavier ones, too, as you get sucked further and further in. A couple of other lighter ones to try: 1) Hold Onto Memories 2) A Reason To Fight (the official live video) 3) If I Ever Lose My Faith In You (a cover of Sting's song, the video is beautiful and artfully done)

I’m really enjoying your reaction videos so far! I really love it when listeners dive into a genre that they are not accustomed to. I sometimes feel like the worlds of rock and heavy-metal are overlooked, but there are a lot of fantastic musicians here. If you want to hear some old-school, heavy Disturbed, I highly recommend Down With The Sickness, but make sure to go with the extended version. A Reason to Fight is another terrific song, but recommend you go with the “live” version official video as opposed to the regular video. The stories interjected during the song add to the emotion of the subject. I also highly recommend listening to Falling in Reverse. They are another band with tremendous range and talent. For them, I’d start with Voices in my Head, then Watch the World Burn, then Last Resort Reimagined, but for that one, react to both the original Papa Roach version, then the Falling in Reverse cover. Falling in Reverse’s videos are all also very cinematic! Must watch…

At their live shows David(lead singer) prompts the crowd. He tells the crowd that every time he says “the light” to turn on your light on your phone or hold up your lighters. It is quite the sight live.

I always think of the word "soaring" when I hear David sing. Not in the sense of being high pitched or anything like that, because it's not like that at all. Ugh it's so hard to put into words but it feels to me like flying. A bit dangerous and thrilling but still knowing you're safe the entire time, and knowing you won't fall- even in the hardest songs. It's sort of like that feeling you get on a really good rollercoaster. I don't know, lol. I just know I love Disturbed and David's voice.

Ive listened to disturbed since their beginning, from what they started with to the album evolution, its been an absolute pleasure seeing how their music evolves. Their ballads are absolutely amazing

There songs are typically uplifting. And they are very important band in my life for that reason. Okay, for your next Disturbed song you need to go heavier like Stricken, Overburdened, Awaken, or randomly pick anything from their 8 albums (first five preferably).

The song is from the pov of the Devil telling David to kill himself so he could be with her forever, Inside the Fire
