I'm 71 yrs old and was around for the original version by Simon and Garfunkel. That said, this version BLEW MY MIND. It makes me cry and dance at the same time. Now, that's IMPACT for an old dog like me. I will always love the original BUT this is version has become my favorite. :o)

This goes down the drain harder than any drop this music has. The fact it's sped up shows how little to no respect the author has for the Disturbed version of the song. Disturbed made the perfect pace for the song, the real emotion singing it, and this remix ruins both. I don't believe who likes this version really appreciated what Disturbed did.

You feel the sorrow, the injustice, the wrong committed against your fellow human beings. "Music" knows no boundaries, has no time limits. And this particular cover of this song touches all that is deep in your soul. We were never promised a world of rainbows and unicorns. Just the opposite. We were warned of great evils, but also promised to lead us through them. All generations, all era's have their troubles, their wars, their own particular evils. I come from a time when citizens of my town were not allowed a cold drink of water simply because of their skin color. A man wasn't allowed to make use of a public restroom because of his skin. He was chased off like a rabid dog. I was a child, but the cruelty of it made such a deep impact on my life. But the most profound was the "doctor's visit". There were separate waiting rooms, both were full. My mother told me to go into the one designated for our Black citizens. I walked in, and this elderly lady stood up and said "you can have my chair". The kindness in her eyes, I still hold close in my heart, today. But what swept over and through me was the "subservience" and how profoundly wrong it was. I was a child and didn't fully understand what I was feeling, but I will never forget the deep conviction that no human being should ever have to be subservient to another. I can remember the nurse coming in and getting me by the arm and leading me out, saying" You're not supposed to be in there". And I have fought against that Evil every day since. "Time" went on, and there were the riots, they got bad and our city was put on lock down, in your home by 6pm or you were locked up. The Vietnam War. Kent State. And it goes on, until now we have mass shootings. It feels as if we, each one of us have a target on our back. "Am I next"? We have women mutilating their bodies, calling them selves "men", demanding we live in their make believe world. We have men demanding to be allowed in the restrooms with our little children. And everyone is silent about it. Afraid to speak up. Or they don't care. Silence. I refused to be silent then, and I will not be silent now. Look in your Soul. Find your voice. Make your Stand. The tears won't stop, mine never have, but you'll stand straight and tall.

The soft beat followed by the clap, is the most cheap and basic way of giving a dance vibe to a song. It doesnt show any creativity at all. Its the easiest way to score somewhat of a hit. You take a popular song, increase the BPM and add this simple sequence to it. Done.
