I think Hannah and her honesty is just perfect. She really hit the nail on the head in her observations. They, like everyone else dining there, should have felt like honored guests not a nuisance to a server . 😢

You all are so gracious. When Hannah said, “I know cast members work hard.” Gracious but not always true. Every cast member does not work hard just like every employee at any other location does not necessarily work hard. I’m a little weary of everyone continually making excuses for Disney cast members at this point. That being said, I love Hannah, as a new addition!

Last time we went to Ohana for dinner the service was absolutely the worst service we have ever had at Disney.

When my family and I went for a character breakfast, the food was hotel complimentary breakfast level. We didn't get to take advantage of 'all you can eat' because our waiter never came back and I felt like we were rushed out. For the premium you pay, this is a really half assed experience. I get the "F-You, pay me!" vibe. 1/10.

I could listen to Hannah say "post covid cantaloupe" on a loop for at least an hour.

The character pictures in front of the floor sweeper/janitor station is so magical.

I would not have accepted that table. Either move me to a properly-sized table or I'm walking out. That aside, $50 per adult (plus tax and tip) for the most basic breakfast menu at barely basic quality? If anything I think your ratings were generous.

Breakfast is the cheapest food on earth to make. It blows me away the prices these places charge, and get, for the food.

Customer service at Disney has dropped so severely. I understand people get tired of attitudes, but this is their job take responsibility and treat your customers decently. These poor tables shouldn’t even be there. Super sad that Disney cannot keep the morale of their employees up. It’s gotta be super tough worked when everybody else is on vacation. You’re working but those be the brakes. These employees need to keep in mind you’re spending a small fortune for one person to eat at that restaurant there should be a lot more TLC with that breakfast, then powered eggs, potatoes, sausage biscuits, slapped in skillet.😢 Especially for how expensive everything is at the resorts, the park and eating out. Good review. I would have asked for another table right away. If your service is actually bad, leave less or no tip. This is not a charitable organization.

I've done dinner twice a few years back (first time we were excited, second time we were hopeful that we had just been there on a bad night the first time) and then we did breakfast in August 2023 (the kids are big Stitch fans). Hannah's word "burden" is really what I've felt like we were to our serving staff in all three situations. Our dinners were early in the evening and our breakfast was a little later in the morning (not as late as yours, but 10:45 range). At dinner it felt as though they were trying to rush us through to turn over the table, at breakfast it seemed like they knew we were the last seating at our table for the morning and just wanted us to leave so they could be done sooner. I've eaten at plenty of other buffet/family style restaurants on property where the server's job is essentially to refill drinks and drop off food and have never felt the same level of complete indifference as i have at Ohana. On the positive side, our character interactions at breakfast were great. Feels weird to say, but Ohana is basically the only Disney restaurant that I wouldn't go back to at this point in time. The service has just never felt like Disney to me and while the dinner was good (I'm not a breakfast person, all breakfast food is equally unappealing to me), it wasn't so mind-blowing as to offset the experience and price.

I especially appreciated Hannah's review. It provided some of the brutal honesty that a certain previous host used to provide. I love that her review is borne out of a deep love of Disney, and that she expects better of them. Craig and Ryno: great as always.

100% agree. The Poly is my favorite resort, but I won't be going back to Ohana for breakfast. Had exactly the same experience in July. Very sad

When I first got married at 18 in 93-me and my wife would drive up there from Tampa just for dinner. It was consistently the best place ever. Over the top perfection. I’ve given them way to many chances the last decade. We are so done. So sad what it’s become.

I went in 2020 for breakfast and it was $25 pp (during COVID so they got rid of the characters) and recently went again in 2022. Prices doubled andfood quality went down. Completely agree with what was said by everyone. Sad to see it like that

Hannah seems so fun....even though this was a disappointing...she still makes me laugh. Craig is right that loco moco should be there.

We went in October and while the food was good, we barely saw our server and had eaten and paid before we saw a single character. We were at the restaurant for at least 45 minutes but only saw Lilo and Stitch before our 8 year old was ready to go. We probably would have had to wait at least 30 minutes to see the other two. I feel like Disney is relying on past reputation to justify the price but nothing is worth that much for a breakfast.

Hannah is awesome! Totally a great addition for you all. This is how I have felt about O'Hana for awhile. A total rip-off!

I hope Disney sees this and forwards it to the restaurant manager. This sounds more like a complimentary breakfast at a Hampton Inn and it sounds like the Hampton takes more care. For $60 apiece, that level of service, quality of food (powdered eggs are you kidding me?!) and presentation is absurd. My wife and I love Kona Cafe and it’s the same kitchen! Do better Disney.

Which is worse...O'Hana or Chef Mickey's? Both have gone down the tubes.

In my experience I have found the dinner there is a whole lot better. With the ukulele player and the wonderful atmosphere it's just a better experience.

Agree with all of you.Our experience was the same.It was dark, with no view,dry food,rushed and noisy.

This echos my experience in January of 2024. We got an impromptu breakfast reservation the day of the marathon. We were a group of 8 adults and while the food was good quality and the server was good and made sure we all had enough to eat and brought out extra skillets, the overall vibe was disappointing for the price. The restaurant was maximum half full. We were off by ourselves in a corner and the only character who came over at all was Mickey. The little parade that they do didn’t come near us. If we were there for the characters it would have been a complete waste since they didn’t come over at all and made it sound like it wasn’t possible for them to come over. If that’s what the extra cost was for, we should have gotten a refund.

Maybe Erica was friends with Mickey that day and wanted to show y'all some extra love💖

My daughter and I went 2 weeks ago, we waited 50 minutes before we saw any characters, all 4 of them came the same time. It doesn't sound like that is the norm? But that really set back our day

We've done both dinner and breakfast and agree that the breakfast falls short for the cost. Now we only do dinner.

All these people saying they should have asked for a new table, sent the food back, asked for a manager, etc. are missing the fact that these people are journalists reporting the facts as presented to them. They didn’t go to Ohana to have a nice meal, they went to review it for their KZfaq channel. What point does it serve to send your food back and then tell everybody in the review it was good? That makes no sense.

I completely agree with Hannah's review. I was there in 2015 and 2018 and it was so not worth it in 2018. I was back in Disney again last year and I'm so glad that we missed doing ohana's.

I haven't stayed at Polynesian Resort for a long time but what I remember is that Kona Cafe was consistently the best place to eat. Edited to add - honestly Character Breakfasts are the easiest way to see certain characters and lots of characters at once but really you can see most of them in the parks somewhere. If there is a character you really want to see visit guest services at Magic Kingdom and ask (plead, beg, etc) for info on where to find the character you need. I had a kid who loved Goofy and the very nice lady gave me four options in three different parks. Seriously made his day and it was an out of the way spot with a grand total of 5 kids waiting - the kids all had a blast.

Is there a reason why you didn't ask for another table? I agree with Craig, there should definitely be spam and a breakfast loco moco on the menu. Also, we don't eat ham with pineapple for breakfast here in Hawaii. If you want to add other things we eat here for breakfast, add Portuguese sausage, Hawaiian sweet bread or taro bread, fried rice, corned beef hash, etc. And bananas, papayas, and more pineapple!

This is an excellent review, very fair very well-rounded. I wouldn't come here for breakfast again for very long time. Went last year for the first time in about 25 years and it was just okay. Dinner is another story, that I would do again in a heartbeat. But you guys are absolutely right, if you don't want to bring that magic to people that day, maybe you shouldn't come to work. There are other people who would enjoy doing this for others and so that's who they should have there, so super disappointing with that. But great job guys, it gave a very honest view of the experience.

Thank you! I thought eggs were grainy and AWFUL. The service was rushed.... restaurant was overbooked. I literally HATED this breakfast and my kids who LOVE Stitch also never want to go back. Ha ha

Shocked to find the fruit bowl was for the table - I had assumed it was a fruit cup for one! 'Ohana used to be great for dinner a decade ago but my last 2 experiences were hugely disappointing (including having to repeatedly ask if our table was ready 45 minutes after checking in in 2022)

Craig, you made a great point about the lack of Polynesian flare for breakfast. Spam hash and tonga toast french toast sticks would be such a improvement, easy to do, and not much more cost for Disney. Last time we had breakfast it was fun, but we had a weird character experience. Instead of the characters all going on the same rotation, they were all going around the room in different directions. We were watching and realized that since we were in the center of the room they were all going to be at our table at almost the same time...if we could figure this out why didn't the character attendants? Because low and behold all 4 characters were upon us at the same time, causing them to have to work around our table and take turns coming back. It was weird and almost stressful since my son's favorite characters are Pluto and Stitch and we wanted to be sure we didn't miss them. But the characters did make sure they all came to our table and Stitch spent a little extra time since my son was wearing his Stitch outfit. Food was good, and our server actually went to Kona to get my son bacon so I can't complain about the service. But I do have to say that dinner is just such a better experience. Maybe because the food is better at dinner and as much as I like character meals, they do add a distraction from just relaxing and eating.

Unfortunately, we had similar experiences between the two breakfast and the dinner we had there it was three strikes we will never ever eat at the Polynesian again the service, and the food were all horrible and for what they force you to pay it’s simply not worth it

Just arrived home from a 3 night stay at Saratoga Springs. We had dinner at 50s Primetime Cafe and the character dining at Garden Grill. The service at bother was top notch!

Used to be my absolute must-do favorite dinner for years. Stopped going there a few years back. Service is awful, you are crammed in like a sardine, and it is all incredibly rushed. You’ve been incredibly lucky there recently for dinner, Hannah

I went to this in November and it was my favourite character dining of our trip. The food was tasty and we found the service to be very good. Maybe you caught them on a bad day, albeit that's no excuse.

Spot on review and wish you had done this video before December! Amen to everything Hannah said! I brought my kids in December - we were staying at the Poly so I had breakfast and dinner reservations at Ohana. The breakfast food was SO bad that I canceled the dinner reservations while we were leaving the restaurant. 😂 Such a bummer because I spent almost a year looking forward to that experience. Every quick service option we had during the entire trip surpassed this by a mile.

I went to ohana breakfast a lot as a kid in the 2000s. I remember there being a lot of bacon so to see that they've gotten rid of the bacon is so sad.

I don’t know what’s worse: the table that you were given or the fact that they couldn’t even provide enough chairs for all of you. That’s insane! Why would they even seat you without checking that the table is ready? And while I’m not a fan of the skillets, they seem to get it right at Whispering Canyon Cafe, so Disney is capable of providing good meals if they want to. Great video and a more than fair review.

Ohana was a one and done for us too. We were there for dinner and it felt rushed. The server was MIA. The food was okay not very good. Thanks for taking the hit for breakfast because that saves us the time and money on going. Good to see they treat you all the same as "regular guests."

Could you try to review Boma at Animal Kingdom resort for breakfast? We went there in December and it was delicious! The mix of African cuisine was really cool and different and would love to hear your opinions ❤

I am so sorry you guys had such an awful experience! We ate there for breakfast about a month ago and had a wonderful breakfast. It goes to show you how the cast members make all the difference. When you are on stage you are representing the magic and have to think about how every table you service may be their first time here.

As a single diner at Disney, I always get stuck at those crappy tables. I Really feel like because I am alone they just throw me anywhere. Plus, my service in the last couple years has been not very good. I really think.....single diner =spends less=smaller tip...again I watch server drooling over guest at bigger table, and I just want a refill.

Ohana's dinner has gone down the crapper as well. Time to reminisce on the times when it was better, like much of the Disney parks in general. I know I'll get a lot of flack for saying it, but so many bad decisions over the past number of years made as a company in general, trickling into their movie studios/productions, theme parks, and resorts. The stock value reflects as such. (Cautiously) optimistic about Universal's Epic Universe, as I'm sure it will have some drawbacks of its own, but really hope they knock it out of the park and start eating a bit more into the overall market share, so they can light a fire under Disney's a** and get some solid competition going.

We went to Ohana Breakfast in Fall 2022 and had a very similar experience. The character interactions were great, but the food was somewhat mediocre (we remember the ham, bread and potatoes as highlights) - but the servers seemed disinterested. It was difficult to flag down out server to ask for any drink refills or platter refills, and there were few smiles among the service staff. Going back to dinner is on our list too, and eventually we will give breakfast another shot - but this one is not worth going out of your way for. We had two great experiences at Cape May Cafe for breakfast since and found it much more pleasant and enjoyable.

Been there and I just don't get it. The food is meh (breakfast and dinner) and the service is RUSHED. I think people like to say they are going or went because it's a cool thing to do but it's really a one and done for us. So many better (and less expensive) options.

Had a similar experience at dinner very recently. We were a large party, including 2 kids under 5. We didn’t see our waiter for 20 minutes, and only after asking. The dinner food was great, but the service was really, really poor. Wont be back until we start to hear it’s improving.

My wife and I are going in June. Without our kids for a couple days. We want y’all to review Toledo at gran destino tower to get your opinion on if we should get a reservation!!

Agreed. We ate here for breakfast last June. Although the server was very nice and somewhat attentive, the food was just average and not hot/warm enough. The kids enjoyed the characters, but we aren't planning on going back for breakfast.

First time we went there. (late 90's) The muffins had worms. Living wiggling worms. We showed them to server "HI THEIR BE WORMS" and no problem. They removed our wormy muffins but left the stack of worm muffins on the buffet table.

Last time I had breakfast here in 2023 it was a let down. Feel like it’s over rated for breakfast at least. Cape may is my go to for character breakfast

$180 for what??? Didn’t you take the tip off??? Everyone should take it off if they got that bad service or it will always be bad.

You guys are FAR to kind. My family and I have noticed that the DIS in general will frequently just let bad service happen. Disney restaurants, even non-signature ones are NOT CHEAP by ANY standard so bad service should never be tolerated. When they brought you to a table for two and you're a party of THREE, you should have just politely said that this table is unacceptable for our party, we'll be happy to wait for another more reasonable table, thanks! If they gave you ANY guff or excuses, just ask to speak to the manager. It's not unreasonable or (Karen-like) to assume that three people are going to be seated at a table for four. Especially at a Family-style buffet where the table is going to load up quickly with plates, platters and glasses. Why SETTLE at a place that you're paying good money for! And Rhino, WHY would you feel embarrassed for the Server to see this video. Not only they should see it, but the Manager(s) should see it as well. One of the problems we had at Boma's one year was that the server wouldn't ask if our drinks or water needed to be re-filled, we had to flag him down...This stood out from other Disney restaurants we've been at. Most often at Disney table service restaurants my Coca-Cola, coffee and waters are all filled without us asking. If we've had any problems, and we tell the staff, we're usually treated like GOLD and the staff bend over backwards to remedy any issues. Hell, my daughter started choking at the other Polynesian restaurant there one year and the MANAGER was at her side helping her before I could get up from my side of the table. Disney is KNOWN for their excellent service, at the parks, resorts & restaurants. If someone's not up to snuff, they need to know about it. A little coaching goes a long way! This doesn't mean you can treat the staff like garbage, but it also doesn't mean you should have to SETTLE for anything other than meeting your expectations!🙂

We’ve been there three times and gave up after having terrible service every time. The only breakfast we had there, we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. We got the one fill of tiny juice cups and asked for waters. The waters never arrived at the table.

Wow! We typically try to get this meal every other time we go, and it has been a great time and experience. Sad that it has gone downhill since our last time. Though I'll say the Polynesian Village Resort is sufering a lot since they no longer have the Luau... but we have the DVC eyesore!

We met the MOST amazing cast member at Ohana Breakfast. Her name was Flaviana and I'll never forget her for her wise, patient assistance with my autistic son. $50 per person is way out of our budget but Ohana breakfast was only one of two table service meals I took my 5 children to on our resort-only trip in 2023. I wanted to treat my 7 year old daughter to meeting her BFF Stitch. However, my son was having a meltdown in Ohana and I was getting embarrassed and overwhelmed. Flaviana calmly came over, talked to my son, and even took him for a walk in the lobby so I could have some food. When they came back, he was calm and ready to eat and get a hug from Pluto. I'll never forget Flaviana's kindness and wisdom. She wasn't even OUR server, she just saw us in need and swooped in. I did feel rushed when it came to the characters and food but I figured that was just because of all the time I spent trying to calm my son so that we wouldn't ruin anyone else's experience or our own.

We were there for breakfast over Christmas and it was great. We went bc my daughter is a huge Stitch fan. Unfortunately it’s sounds like your experience there is hit or miss.

We had terrible service at dinner in Aug at Ohana. The waitress acted like she couldn't stand to be here and was short with her wording and it came off very rude. She acted like she was annoyed when we asked for a drink refill and she practically tossed stuff on our table. We had a similar service experience at Storybook Dining and both my 9 and 15 year old were the ones who picked up on it and said something before I did.

Bummer this was such a bad experience. We've only done Ohana dinner once and that was honestly enough. We didn't get the hype at all. All the meat was overcooked and lacked flavor. I didn't really understand the hype around the noodles. They were actually somewhat sweet, which wasn't what I was expecting and didn't care for. Maybe we just built it up in our heads too much because there's so much hype around it, but definitely didn't meet our expectations.
