CLK, CLS and CL class generation codes begin with “C” (ex. C209). Generation codes beginning with “W” are for C, G and E classes only (ex. W204, W463, W211) with the exception of estate wagons and shooting brakes which begin with “S” and “X” respectively (ex S211/S204, X218).

I drove all CLK’s CLK 200’s, 320’s 280’s 350’s and i can assure you that the 200 Kompressor (184hp facelift) was the one that i had the best driving experience with overall) When it comes to engine of course i would choose a V6 over a Inline 4 but when it comes to faster acceleration and just overall experience the 200 Kompressor is the better option. BTW i have a CLK 63 AMG a CL 55, 63 and an E 55

I own the 200 Kompressor with 184 HP and trust me fuck that engine. It's quick and fun to listen to the supercharger when accelerating but holy fuck does it swallow gas. 10-12l per 100km. Could have gotten the CLK 500 with the same thirst. If you drive like a granny on a good day with no traffic you get like 8-9.5l per 100km. But at least it's reliable and easy to maintain.
