If watching drag queens on every outlet i have access to has taught me anything is that to get flat brows you need to cover underneath the hairs also, so usually swiping it wouldn't allow this to happen and so a circular motion would do the trick. Also using a spooly to brush the hairs upwards not across like you usually would really helps too. And if you need to colour correct with orange if your brows are dark then that really helps too.

This is such a great look! I am just now learning about Edith Piaf and her story is just so tragic, the fact that she still went out and gave her all in every performance is inspiring even today.

I recently went back to the bloody nails tutorial you did years ago, which is one of the first beauty videos I've ever seen. Everytime you used a product you said "I'm using xy but you can use whatever works for you." and emphasized on that it doesn't matter what brand or product one uses as it's all personal preference. I miss the times when beauty and makeup videos were not trying to sell you things but most of content creators ambitions were to teach and create. I am not saying content creators who's aim is art are not to be found nowadays (you are a prime example) but I am regretful towards the trend and shift in attitude of mainstream beauty gurus. Thank you for being different. Even today still I find you refreshing and inspirational.

I love this! Just a few days ago I had been thinking about Édith Piaf a lot, since I had her songs stuck in my head (and I loved the background music, btw, so calm and beautiful)

What can I say? Sadness suits you! My god, that looks good! As a man, I don't wear makeup, but I'm a huge fan of silent films and old "black and white" performers, so I've always had a soft spot for "the sad look" which was so prominent, even during the roaring 20's. But those old-timers didn't look as good as you. ;)

Fun fact: in black and white films, actresses would often use gaudy colours to contour and shape their face with makeup. Much like how the Adamms Family tv show used pink set pieces, because they looked more grey and black on film than actual grey and black. But when colour film and tv came along, most actresses were upset and refused to work because they couldn't shape their face the way they wanted anymore. Then came Max Factor, a famous make up artist (you may have seen the brand) who invented pancake makeup to use on actresses and actors to create the same effect as the gaudy coloured makeup.
