It’s better to take a diving course instead of relying on KZfaq videos i think. Watching videos is a good start of course (given the methods are not outdated or conform different protocols), but gaining skills = practice.

A diver in front of you will not wait for you to sink to the ground to wipe your mask of with his fin. Learn the skill while swimming or hovering. And locate the mask's nose from outside, so the little crab inside will not bite yr thumb. Have in minde that this is one of the most important skills ever.

On 3:30 the hand is upon the hose, but in the next scene it's under the hose, so during the demonstration the mistake was done, the same mistake is on 3:40 - the hand is upon the hose. This is not safety though. If you will be not quite carefull, you can loose you regulator. I stopped watch the video btw, don't know if there are any other mistakes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i dont know anything about diving and i am curious about the part don't hold our breath, is there a reason we need to exhale slowly instead of holding our breath?
@ZeuSVI
@ZeuSVI 4 ай бұрын
In theory you don't need to exhale unless you are ascending because gases expand when pressure is reduced, which is what is happening when you are going up. And if you are holding your breath your lungs could literaly explode from the inside. Now the reason why they teach you to never hold your breath is because it should be trained into muscle memory. Cause if you panic under water you do a lot of things by muscle memory. And if you loose your air source it's easy to panic and swim towards the surface, and then exhaling is extremely important.

Pretty good, but I saw 2 mistakes here. When you replaced the BCD your main regulator was under your arm instead of over your arm. But good edit saved it 😁 And in my opinion for the Free Flowing Regulator mouthpiece too far from mouth or lips. Sorry had to comment on that 😁 I have been an instructor for 25 years so I see everything 😊 But the mask pinch was new to me. Gotta try that one. Normally I teach breaking the seal on top with 2 fingers 🤿 But the rest very good 👏👏🤙👌
