Love these recommendations and already had a few of them on my list. Not a diverse recommendation (but she is a small author) would be the book The North Tower by Michelle N. Hagood. It will be a trilogy and currently the first two books are out. It's also a great alternative to Harry Potter without being written by a person with awful beliefs
