The Nithya Annadaana which takes place in most of the prominent Temples of Coastal Karnataka does not merely feed the hunger of the tourists/devotees but it's a blessing to the soul indeed. An apt name "Annabrahma" is kept to the dining hall at Shri Krishna Mutt, Udupi which solely satisfies the hunger of devotees & also a large count of school children who receive this "Prasada" as their mid day meal.

I found this particular episode as one of the most beautiful videos, ever, in the journey of KA channel, although it was short n sweet. So many elements from it resonated with me, as a person from within. The parikrama that Shreeji did at the beginning, the idols that she purchased at the end from the 70 year old shop. But what triggered my emotions the most, was her visit to the gaushala. Had a tough time controlling my tears. I have been watching your shows for close to couple of years now and I realised that there has to be more to food vlogging than just the food per se. Brings back memories of our Udupi visit a few years back. After our morning darshan of Lord as we were coming out, one person asked if we were brahmins and when we said yes, he asked us to take a different route. We found ourselves in a bhojana shala. It was dwadashi day and the brahmins in the temple break their ekadasi fasting with a gourmet meal early in the morning! We were delighted to be part of this wonderful feast in the presence of the Swamiji! At the end, we were also given a dakshina....

The temple traditions are compatively diff in all 4 south states, yet you feel so attached and connected with each of them. Just love India and our culture and heritage

What I love about you is that you not only give us the tour of Udapi Krishna temple but have also shown us the divine food that is served with so much of love. As you have rightly said that it is your good deeds of bringing up small eateries who serve wonderful food but dont have the capacity to advertise. You are the Messiah of such eateries and it's thru you and your channel that so many eateries which were unknown are well known today and are doing well. One temple were Lord Krishna showed everyone that Bhakthi is more important than one's cast by turning around to give Darshan to Kanakadasa. You and Madam are blessed

I always feel over proud when you enjoy the meal, a divine gift. Before feeding our body we chant ANNA SUKTA- praising the greatness and characteristics of beneficial values of food to each organ. Also we have a saying “Anndanam Paramam daanam vidyaa Daanam atah paraha”- serving food is greatest of all services, giving education still great. When you exclaimed “we are blessed by Prasadam “ so contently , I feel really great of you. Food is not just filling, it is divinity.

The place and food need not to be judged and rated. The holiness itself enriches everything in the food which turns food into prasada.....

Common man won't get this facility and variety. Fully commercial kitchen. No comments about the temple. We are served only one type saru, sambar and one sweet usually payasa followed by buttermilk. Kripal Amman is really lucky.

One of the rules while honouring Prasadam is not to pass-on or receive comestibles from someone else’s plate/leaf, especially after one starts consuming Prasadam.

Hayagreeva is best sweet that I ate till the date.... Which is even considered as Prasada by Madhva philosophy followed temples and people and offering dish for Lord while worshipping.

Kripal, must say that the first half of this year has been pretty eventful for you. First you experienced savouring the Langar sewa at Harmandir Sahib and now the prasad at the Udipi Krishna Temple. Beautiful. 😍

Wow this was off beat . Food/Prasad at any temple tastes delicious, once uve had food at south Canara temple’s though,every meal thereafter will pale in comparison. still remember the payasam I had in Sringeri temple decades back, nothing has come close since.

Kriplal being UDUPI person you should have done this long before, you know this is getaway place for my soul, Also UDUPI is the ORIGIN for vegetarian food of South India, right from MAHABHARATA, it's UDUPI Maharaj who cooked food during war, Only 3 people had that capacity to feed 50lakh soldiers everyday, Sri Krishna, Beema, and Maharaja of UDUPI, also maintain reduction as per day reduction on people Oldest Gastronomic BOOK also has UDUPI influence, you must do some research based episodes on this

We visited udupi temple in last month, we are blessed that we had our dinner prasad at temple it was really delicious, one thing we liked in karnataka temples is their culture and respect. We had our lunch at kollur and kukke too. We felt really happy with the free meal facility provided by the temples in karnataka. How much money you have, you need to be blessed to have prasad at Devine places.

Sir, v know you visited many hotels 5star to roadside simple cart too.. but I can say the food u having temples like dharmasthala,kukke,kateel Durga temple TPTY,Manthralaya etc really mouth watering although it's just simple veg meals still tastes like food from heaven. I acknowledge that in dharmasthala r kukke once I ate 3times in the span of just few minutes because I was hungry n iits very tasty n as ppl finish having food in just 5mnts of serving I wonder how they quick finish that.. I can say every day 3 times I wish to have that godly food.. Really nice to see you there.. it will have Lacs of likes n shares...

I had made this suggestion in one of your videos - to try the Raghavendra swami Aradhane meal in mantralaya or the one in Udupi Krishna matha. Though you cannot review them as it’s an holy offering, the taste is mind blowing. One thing, you cannot share or eat from each other’s leaf in the temple.

So nice to see.. been to this place so many times. Environment around the template is so peaceful. Just walking around all the places here gives immense satisfaction.

Kripal as you always say when you have meal on banana leaf something always goes on coming. While it started only with rice and sambar and koshimbari and vada but afterwards there was many came in line. When you were describing the food the payasam and coconut sweet has added more sweetness to you sweet words.

Udipi is very famous temple...Thr is kanakana kindi. Means window..kanaka want to see lord sri krishna..but pandith was not allowed to him so went in da back side of temple. The was onesmall hole so he can see sri lord krishna. He prayed suddenly sri lord krishna turned to towards to kanaka....it was prayers miracle. Also few kilometres aways sri Madwaaharya birth place its called sri kunjargiri. Also known as pajaka kestrha...we been school thr my mom was teacher in school in 1970s. Sri durga parameswri temple thr. Kannada movie been shooted thr like giri kaneye Sitha Raam Mr Ananth naag and manjula. I was watching thr shooting all day .in 1978..
