Diving For Bait | Fighting Off Sharks | Mud crab Upgrade
Freediving spearfishing puts you in the sharks world where they are the boss. Sharks are unpredictable but you can do a few things to increase your odds of spearfishing safely around sharks.
Welcome back to Immersion Fiji, this video was so much fun to make. It was a true adventure from start to finish. Spearfishing coral reefs, competing with hungry sharks, exploring mangroves, and catching mud crabs.
Spearfishing and freediving with Sam from The Wet Mammal has been amazing the past few weeks.
On this occasion, we were diving for bait in a very sharky coral reef passage. The wet mammal shot a One Spot Snapper and it went directly into a hole in the reef. The commotion attracted the sharks hoping to get an easy meal. Sam being a spear pro, knew exactly what to do.
We end up securing the snapper and use it to upgrade to a big mud crab.
Catching a big crba is always a treat. Out of all the crabs to eat, I reckon it's one of the tastiest ones and cooking it in saltwater on the campfire makes it even better!!
