The line, "Do you regret the things we shared that I’ll never forget?" Really freaks me out.. it’s so dark.

This has to be my favorite song on the album, although its pretty dark

One of my friend's actually sang this song (except for the first verse, and changed some of the words) in front of our school on stage during a talent show, and he sang this song to expose one of our teachers, who had been manipulating him, and y'know.. Even pointing at her while he was singing, she was arrested after that event. He was so iconic for that.

The music in the background totally suits the dark theme to the lyrics. It's really well put together

It took me 5 years to realize I was groomed by my teacher in 7th grade, he never had a relationship but he worked way closer to me, always was around me, he lingered by my desk, always was watching what I was doing. The whole time i just thought I was his favorite student. I didn’t realize what happened until I heard he got fired for looking down girls shirts and up their skirts and dresses. I can’t help but wonder how many times he did it to me

3:10 I love the, “well, you don’t.” I don’t know why, it just shows so much assertiveness! If only people who went / go through this could say it. I love the way all Melanie’s songs have meanings and aren’t just about stupid breakups that she had during high school. They talk about eating disorders, being used, bullying, alcoholic parents, p3d0philia and even fake fans and fake friends. That’s why Melanie is unique! Nobody can convince me otherwise!

This song is honestly beautiful. I was abused by a family member instead of a teacher, and this song manages to capture that feeling too. Trauma can somehow be beautiful This made me feel a little less jaded.

It happened once more, and then came summer break. For three months, I didn't tell anyone and suffered silently. I was so disgusted. It was the worst time of my life. It's been almost a year now, and he is no longer a teacher at our school because I finally spoke up. The police report was dismissed because he never made a statement. If something like this has happened to you, please speak out. People will understand and not judge you! That was really hard for me to understand. But please, gather the courage you need and confide in someone you trust.

This song is very dark and kinda makes me want to cry but it’s also a masterpiece. Each lyric holds so much weight. It makes my heart hurt because there are definitely people out there who can relate to the narrative. :(

This kinda reminds me of my very first relationship, I was 15, he was 23.... We were only together for a week, but still. He'd act like I was nothing to him when other people were around, but when we were alone, he tried to talk me into giving his v-card to him - which I didn't! I was waiting til marriage to do that sort of thing - then afterwards, he ignored me completely, then he disappeared.... Turns out, he had a fiance and I wasn't the only minor he tried hooking up with. Pretty sure he's still in jail. I'm a door mat usually, but I'm so thankful that I had enough respect for myself to stand up to my "boyfriend" when he tried to talk me into or literally tried to do some shady shit while we were kissing.

The official lyrics are "pouty, pretty, cute and she bit her lip back to him" and not " thought "he pretty cute". If you turn the subtitles on K12 you can see it, I don't know why some websites say differently when Melanie already confirmed the lyrics.

My favorite song from the album so far

I think this is was sadder than it sounds. In the chorus the girl says “don’t care bout grades just call me your lady- if I pass this quiz will you give me your babies?..” This shows that people don’t care about her, no one does. Probably not her parents either. So the first person who said “loved” her she took the chance and was left empty.
