It was a mark of Divinyls that they gave 110% every performance. I saw them many times and they were always perfect, and they played loud but it was crystal clear. Chrissy became the character she sang about in every song. That and her incredible voice made her one of the best frontpersons ever, as good as Freddy Mercury and better than Mick Jagger. Her audience adored her, and still do. Tremendously under-rated band.

dan oleary I envy you. They did a number called ''Siren'', where she would take a pitcher of water, stand in one spot while holding it above her head and carefully tipping it until it was empty and she was soaked! She had interesting ways of getting folks attention as if that was an issue.

what water trick would that be dan oleary? I was playing bass for some Aussie bands in the eighties and got to play with the Divinyls one night in Ferntree gully when their bass player was fucked from drugs and alcohol. I hope you are not referring to the foul rumour that Christina urinated on stage. That rumour is total bullshit, as Christine projected a sexy image as part of the act, but was a shy lady. In reflection, I find your comment to be offensive and typical of the semi literate and innumerate cretins with a keyboard.
