When I hear people say “I’m not used to working a job that is beneath me” red flags 🚩 go up EVERYWHERE for me. No job is beneath a manager if you are a good manager. When someone calls out, you have to be ready to step Into that capacity because you become coverage. It’s not all about delegating tasks. If you can’t do everything that the people under you can do then you are no manager I would ever respect. I work at Home Depot right now. I have a bachelors degree and working in engineering. No job is beneath me. It’s about securing your household and making the people living in it feel secure. If that takes flipping a burger, you go flip those burgers!
