This is a full unboxing, setup and playing example of my brand new Dixon Little Roomer compact drum set. After playing this drum set for a few weeks after I filmed this, I love these drums and would highly recommend them for everyone from a beginner to a professional who needs a nice drum set in a small area.

It's cool that they sell the bass separately. Gorgeous color; perfect for smaller gigs. Nest a snare in there and the whole thing fits into one bag. It's also very cool that Dixon lists the mass of their hardware on their site. Comparable to the Tama/DW/Yamaha stuff.

Dixon is a hidden in clear sight top quality drum manufacturer. They make a bunch of other companies drums, out of their Taiwan base. Ok have an excellent Pearl kit that I'm near certain they made.

100% correct - they are great drums and very affordable. Taiwan makes amazing drums

Wow, Bart, great playing. Love the Zeppelin in the stairwell vibe :) and boy and dog cameos. But really love the vintage house, stained glass, wood floors, rocks! Oh yeah the drums are fun too!

Total Zeppelin vibes in the front hall - I should have played "When the Levee Breaks" :) I appreciate the kind words, our house is from 1867 and has been a huge amount of work but is almost "done" (it will never actually be done). I have definitely learned quite a bit about repairing the walls and painting over the last two years!

Have been following the brand since Gregg Bissonette started using them. I heard this through nice headphones, and that bass drum shines. If only Dixon had a retailer in Mexico...

@@DrumHistoryPodcast i bought one of the Dixon Sub Zero wood hoops snares last year. I never owned a wood hoop drum before and these were so cheap that I couldn’t pass it up. Very nice drum (I got the 4”x14”).

Wow great review! The set sound amazing! I have one question, the hardware, how much does it weigh? It is heavy? Im interested in buying this set, it will be great to know that! Thank you, great drumming by the way!

Thank you! After almost a yaer of owning it, I would definitely recommend the Little Roomer. I play it every day and love it. Google says it is around 4 pounds for the cymbal stands and the snare stand and HiHat stand are also very light. The bass drum pedal is also a great piece of gear. I highly recommend it!

I presume it doesn't normally come with the hardware IE bass pedal, hight hat stand etc?

You can buy the entire set or just the shell pack. Would definitely consider if I were starting out. That pedal is a piece of art, and could even be drilled out to save a few hundred grams.

Wish you would have skipped the unboxing and instead done a "re-boxing" of how they all fit in the ordered cases to see ease of transport. The main reason to compromise on more normal sizes is for ease of transport. Dixon could also reduce the weight further by halfing that center pipe for the high tom.
