Hi, I made my very first chair(s).
It took so long from designing to making,
and it was a bit challenging since I've never made furniture has curves.
It still needs improvement (like carving right curve for arm and leg connection),
but I will do that later since I'm a little exhausted😂.
Thank you for watching and
stay safe.

Most stuff is mass produced to drive down costs. You wouldn't get a hand-made chair for 1,000 these days...unless it's badly made.

Depending on the quality of the cushions, this would be $3500 USD. No doubt. And there's no way you could get this chair for $1000 in the UK. Good luck

Congratulations on your entry into woodworking. You have sowed great promise. Please allow an older person with decades of furniture manufacturing experience to give you a few suggestions. Firstly never work in open toes shoes. Things have a way of falling. Not the least of items like chisels and heavy pieces of lumber. Use less glue on your joints. The strength comes from securely gluing your Dominoes into the mortises. Excess glue outside the joints will not increase your joint stiffness. Good luck. Enjoy!

I’ve been restoring MCM lounge chairs for a couple months now and this video is just beautiful. I love seeing these chairs designed and built. I love your use of Brass, and also how you don’t hide the woods natural grain! Every single time I restore a piece it feels like the original grain is hidden behind cheap toner, I even made my own method to make it pop out! You on the other hand do an amazing job with wood choice and also your finish process!
