Number of Coils divisible by 3 (for example 12 Coils), so you can set this up as 3 phase will help you get quite a lot more power (Watts). 16 magnets is awesome. Nice work!

... or perhaps in this case 9 Coils may be better, so you will only need to make one more coil In 3 Phase, the coils are all oriented in the same direction. Every third coil connects in series. One end of each phase connects together, and you end up with 3 wires left, one for each Phase. Use a Bridge Rectifier and you have DC, Power to the People! 💡🚥🌩

can u show how your coils are wired together ? is it outside to inside connection or inside to inside out side to out side ? it is hard to tell in your video how u have them running but i have been under the impression when connecting your coils u want to run from inside to out side i may be wrong though im in the process of building my own right now

Now encapsulate the coils in epoxy and make another magnetic disc set and sandwich the coils in between them , spin them up, and you should double the amperage keep on tinkering!

The wire thickness is limiting amps. Adding a second rotor may increase the voltage for a given rpm but your still advised not to exceed the amps of a wire.

It is called axial flux... yes the way he made it is inefficient due to the spaces but if made correctly it has greater advantage compared to radial flux especially if you put 2 rotors with magnets facing the coil it provides stronger magnetic field induction

I think he's taking the max voltage × amp rating of the wire. Problem is the voltage drops under load. You'll need to increase the rpm to get more voltage to compensate the voltage drop of current inside the wire.

Anime Lover actually it depends on the magnet configuration you can make this put out dc voltage if the magnet poles are not reversed (ie all north up) as the magnet fields must reverse to generate ac

I built myself n. 8 coils like his, with a 1.5 mm diameter copper wire and 18 meters of wire for each coil, using only 8 magnets with an attraction of about 40 kg for each magnet, but unfortunately I cannot exceed 8 volts voltage. you can use output transformer for boost voltage, use step up transformer , you can also google it

I did made such a axial flux alternator with 10 x 3mm neodymium magnets with the same shape of coils, 0,8mm cupperwire and also a radial flux generator but both did'nt get above 40mV by hand cranking. I'm wright now building a axial flux with 20mm neodymium magnets an 80 turns coils 0,6mm wire with triangle shape coils. To much turns doesnt aways mean better prestation because of internal resistance in the coils. I hope this one will have some serious output.

Hi, when you use thick copper wire you get high amperage and low voltage, contrary to ,when you use thinner wire, many tirns ,you get higher voltage but low amperage. Never the less if you rectify from ac to dc ,put capacitor, the voltage will rise.

Not necessarily. The prime mover can be a wind or water turbine or you could peddle a bike.
