Very impressive! Is there a pre-amp input stage on this amp at all, or do the RCA inputs just go direct to the amp board? I am heavily considering building one of these bad boys using a pre-made chassis and toroidal transformer. My curiosity is if its possible to DIY a "Hi-End" grade amp for a fraction of what Artisan/Boutique'ee brands charge.

i ran test at 65-0-65 with 7 pairs of 3858/1494 it was perfekt, but at 80-0-80 it heats up at idle ? any idea what i need to change?
