Nice instructional video with constant skips and impossible to understand instructions, I got it to work, but I spent about 6 extra hours trying to figure out what I did wrong when all I did was follow the “simple” instructions

some people blaming the video for their own lack of DIY skills. measurements? lol. grab a glue gun and use whatever stuff you have laying around. it's just a single cam then make it any size you want. all this is doing is showing you the concept, and you're expected to tweak it a bit. i mean, do you think these guys get it right the first time? this could be the third version after he's worked out the cam size and positioning on the wings.

Nope. An automation would be automatic, like a wind up toy. I would call this a cam, which is a mechanism that involves one thing moving to make another thing move.
