Hi crafty cuties! I am excited to share this DIY tutorial for the Accordion File folder with you (Thanks for requesting it Holly!) . You can use this for planner stickers, receipts or better yet - a Penpal folder! I will show you how I put mine together using a few supplies. You can customize and make these your own! Apologies guys - I realized that a ton of clips were missing from my video. And while editing with a 4 year old next to me, you can imagine how I didn't notice until now.
1. In my original video I talked about how I saw Sabrina ann make one of these. That got cut out. See her link below. I always give credit to others but I actually got this idea from Pinterest. I did however get the idea to turn this into penpal mail from her! And I love her channel. Check out the links below.
2. I also noticed that I didn't show myself rounding the corners on the front flap. I just used my envelop punch.
3. And third clip that was missing is the part where I cut a little tab out on the very front inner flap. I cut out a little tab just for looks. It measures 5inches across by .5 down in the very center of the front inner flap. I just used my scissors. This is just preference.

This is so helpful. I plan to modify this by taking file folders and making them accordian style to hold bills so papers don't fall out. No top needed, but now I know how if I ever want to. Thanks for sharing.

On the video you show the front cover straight when your doing the tutorial, but the finished product shows it differently looks like you punched it out someway. What was it that you did. Everything else was great , Thanks!

Oh! Do you mean the rounded corners on the front flap? I lost so many video clips during this filming and I totally left some things out by accident. Let me know if that's what you meant!

I just realized what you meant! And dang it that was another clip that disappeared on my video :( I basically cut out a small rectangle as you can see the shape in the video (measuring about 5inches across and .5 inch down. I really hope that helps.

The idea actually came from Pinterest. I don't think she created it? In my first video I mentioned how I saw it on Pinterest, and then saw Sabrina do a video.. I did actually talk about it again in this video however my video was 40 minutes long and I ended up cutting it out because i was rushing to edit. I'll leave her link in the description

No, the very front of the pocket that you attach the accordion piece each side is higher , it kind of looks like you did a file folder punch or something I'm not sure.

Ok yes - it's not that it's higher...I cut a small piece out with my scissors because I like how it looks. Does that make sense? I cut a strip that measured about 5inches by .5 inch rectangle from the middle top area where you see the dip.
