Hello Sarah! Another wonderful video, I think I’ve saved every single one of your air dry clay videos into my favourites list to date! You’re by far the best channel, in my opinion, for air dry clay videos, not just for amazing ideas & projects, but you explain everything in laymen terms, you don’t use any fancy gadgets, it’s all household items or easily obtainable ones. This beginner really enjoys them, so thank you ❤️ Out of interest Sarah, would you ever consider doing an under the sea air dry clay video? I’d like to do a beach / sea theme in my bathroom when my adaptions are finished (I’m disabled, so I’m waiting for a more adaptable bathroom to be fitted!) but I’m at a bit of a loss with ideas - something you’re phenomenal at. I lost my beautiful mum 11 weeks ago today. I promised I’d save my crafts until I officially moved into mine post renovations, but I’ve been spending time up there for peace & quiet, & I cracked out the air dry clay. Despite being a perfectionist & thinking I’d get frustrated.. I actually found it very soothing (& a much welcome distraction). I promised my mum I would get stuck in with my crafts, as it’s something I’ve always been passionate about but I never had the confidence to do, so I’m honouring that (trying to!) Hi Laura, thank you for taking the time to write your lovely comment, I am so pleased to hear your are enjoying my channel.A beach/sew theme for some air dry clay projects sounds wonderful. So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mum, I know all too well how this feels and appreciate how being able to get stuck into something you enjoy and get joy from can provide much needed comfort. When I lost my Mum 4 years ago I found a lot of comfort in getting back into painting, it didn't matter what i painted but it provided me with something i very much needed, it's so hard to explain. I just discovered your videos tonight and love all the projects you’ve made so far. I just watched you make the bird trinket dish. That is absolutely gorgeous❣️ I love the colors you used and all the beautiful little flowers you painted on it❣️ I can’t wait to make one of those.😀 I fully understand the therapeutic aspect of working with the clay both physically, working with your hands and emotionally when you create such beautiful pieces. Thank you Jackie. I would probably add a couple of holes and add some string, just make sure the holes aren’t too close to the edge, it will perhaps be lighter than you think 🌼

Very nice work, Sarah! Clever and not insanely difficult either! I'm ready to pull out my clay and have a go! I also think maybe simple dollar store shower curtain rings might work for the napkin rings. Thanks for sharing!

Hello, regarding printed napkins and air dry clay, can you teach us how to transfer the print to the air dry clay? I did watch your video on how to transfer images from printed paper, but I think napins might be a little different type of transfering. I can't find any videos for this on You Tube. Thank You! Yes sure, just don't make them too thin, and a design so you don't snap them as you push them shut, if that makes sense

So soothing to hear! Question: is that acrylic varnish waterproof? I would love to create a watercolour palette with air dry clay. If not, is there any other varnish you would recommend that is waterproof? Thanks a lot in advance!

Thank you, I’d use something other than acrylic varnish for a palette. I’ve done a couple of videos around this, waterproofing, and resin videos on here

Air dry clay is not food safe so I’m not to recommend anything that makes it for drinking/eating from ❤️

Yes, they always need a protective top coat, then sponge clean

I keep watching these videos and thinking any day now...but I've always worked in polymer clays before and I worry about the durability of air dry clay, especially for projects like keyrings..chuck it in your handbag once and surely it would break? anyway, your videos are very relaxing and enjoyable to watch and I love your painting style!

I've been making some quite delicate things out of air dry clay. I varnish them with several coats of spray varnish and it gives a lot of protection. I've accidentally dropped them several times and they've all survived, lol. For something like a keyring trinket, I would make it quite thick for extra durability, plus varnish well, to be on the safe side!
