Thanks! It looks totally different on the road too, in a good way. This next series will be bigger and better than anything that has been before so we are very excited! [James]

Music is so loud, can't even hear you talk. You should invest in a mic you can clip onto your shirt if you haven't done so already.

All current videos are filmed with clip mics with a condenser to make for better audio. Back when this was filmed we were only using the microphones built into the camera, but we hadn't had as much practice with the editing software. The edits now are much clearer for audio :)

How do you make sure no moisture gets in the headlights? I heard this is kind of a pain in the ass project but I want angel eyes like this so badly for my mazda 3

Your right about it being a paint in the ass project! Took around 3 days to complete from taking apart the headlight to installing back in the car.. To make sure you have no moisture you just need to seal any holes you create completely and also reseal the main seal using new sealant. We thought we had sealed both correctly, but with it now being winter and wet, we have found that 1 headlight has severe moisture build up on the inside meaning we are going to have to take it apart again to reseal. If you wanted, we could try film a video on how to reseal properly if you wish? But, if you have the patience and the time to do this mod without having your car on the road, its 100% worth doing!

when heating the headlight in the oven, does it matter if the headlight is plastic or glass as I'd worry about melting it?
@TurboautosCoUk
@TurboautosCoUk 8 жыл бұрын
The Mazda was plastic. Keep a very close eye on it if you carry out the mod. Someone actually did manage to melt theirs after watching this video, but keep it in the oven for short intervals and try breaking the seal. You should be just fine, just be VERY careful :)

Instead of putting your precious unit in the oven just leave the car in the sun if it's really hot outside, or use a heated air gun.

s1d3k1ckRO It was December with temperatures of sub zero and we didn't have a heat gun!! Still don't in fact come to think about it... Shall add that to the list... Oven did the job though, just needed to keep a close eye on it lol

+Maruf Ahmed When we purchased our ones from eBay, they had different listings for different cars, and we just selected the one for the mk1 Mazda 3 TS2. We cannot find the original listing, but they stock parts for most makes and models :)

You guys melted my headlight unit. Are you sure it isn't 200 degrees Fahrenheit?
@TurboautosCoUk
@TurboautosCoUk 8 жыл бұрын
+Jarod645 We are sorry to hear that your unit melted, however we did say that times do vary so to keep an eye on it and do not leave it unattended. Ours honestly were in the oven for 15 mins at 200 degrees centigrade each time as was said in the video. There will always be variations, even with the same manufacturer - different amounts of the glue / resin could have been used by different workers etc. For the Clio, we found ourselves taking the units out sooner than the 15 mins we had it in for the Mazda - it always varies. Again, we truly are sorry to hear about your headlight unit, but as you will see in every episode's description we hold no responsibility for what you do to your own car. Good luck and send over some pictures of the final outcome when you have it all fitted via our Facebook page!

+Turbo Autos Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll make sure to send you the before/during/after pictures once I replace the unit and try again. I'll definitely be more careful this time!
