Awesome tip! That's a real easy to make tool and you could make them in different sizes without breaking the bank. You're right about those Dremel cut off wheels, too. I break about two or three of them whenever I use them no matter how careful I am.

@@StockmanOriginal Cool! I don't know much about beadery but I imagine those would be the really tiny ones we see in indigenous clothing, am I right? I would definitely need my optivisor for things that small. Thanks for making these videos. I really enjoy the specialized tool tips! 😁👍

i wanted to ask what polishing compound did you use. 1. is it safe to use for bone jewelry that makes skin contact 2. or is their specific bone polishing compound thats safe for skin contact
@StockmanOriginal
@StockmanOriginal Жыл бұрын
Hello Silent Carver,happy to have you with us. I use a basic compound which you can buy at most hardware stores. It’s just a very fine abrasive suspended in some sort of wax. I have never had a problem with it in regards to skin contact and l use it for bone and silver. Polishing compound comes in a variety of grades and colors, l like a medium grade which is white or tan. I avoid the rouge because it gets into the pores of the bone and leaves it messy. Let me know how you make out.

I don't use those type cut off wheels anymore. i use dremel fiber glass type wheel. there like a larger cut off wheel. and can take a beating.....send me your address and ill send a couple to you free and i will send the wheels i don't use. i will find the part number to these good wheels. i buy them from Walmart here. i think they are now 6 bucks for 4..well worth not losing an eye..
