I can truly appreciate the time and effort in not only building this project, but the time to video the step-by-step process. Good on you. However, I love these DIY vids where you think that you are going to build one and then realize quickly that a machine shop is almost essential in the creation of one. I am still no further ahead than I was at the beginning. Cheers.

Exactly what I was looking for! I have a hell of a pain in the ass sourcing that kind of equipment where I live. When I finally find something it costs an arm and an eye. So I thought I'd build something like that. My idea involves a couple of longboard (skateboard) wheels though. Thanks a lot for sharing your project with us. :)

Nice job. I was interested in how you were going to handle the belt tracking. Guess the flanges on the rollers take care of that. Excellent fabrication and design thanks for sharing.

i got a great idea for this but as 4 wheel version. Anyway i would try to maximise the surface, so maybe let the spring more loose and let the pipe come into that pliers (near to the motor)

Вещь хорошая и нужная, хоть и имхо сделано немного слабовато в плане основной функции - обработка труб, перил и т. п. где важна картинка. Есть заводские более функциональные. Я с такими работал по нержавейке. Можно было просто повторить если покупать влом. Кто ругает - никогда не делали например сварные перила 50 метров из нержи... так песдят лиш бы пернуть в лужу...

pretty slick, working angle looks uncomfortable though, may want to change design to be at 90^0 angle to the grinder, might be more practical

DIY is a slight misnomer in this case, as most people don't own the professional equipment needed to make it.

Эта приспособа по безопасности похожа на идею чистить уши ватной палочкой при помощи дрели. При работе ВАЖНО использовать мотоциклетный шлем и костюм , иначе вгреет этой лентой на скорости (2300 об.мин) по всей плоскости, аж так, Шо мама не горюй.

they are already on the market by many manufactures like Flex and Metabo or even cheaper brands. Search round pipe sanders and you will find. But they are not cheap. There is one manufacture that produces a universal attachment to any grinder.

@@REXXRS китай в помощь, на али такие приблуды для болгарки стоят от 30 до 50 долларов, причем очень качественные. А зачем покупать отдельно такой инструмент если все надевается на болгарку????????????

знаете толк в лентах, сразу видно "прафесиАНАЛ". )))) Сарказм если что. Абсолютно ничего не будет вообще если порвется лента, даже если вдруг полетит в голову то с ее энергией она просто ударит не больнее чем ты головой о подушку ударяешься))
