In today's video we are creating a cozy breakfast nook in the kitchen. I was able to use several great thrift finds to bring this space to life including a variety of vintage plates. Nicole…I LOVE your little breakfast nook! I can see sitting there in the early morning with your coffee, a candle, and your Bible beginning the day with your morning devotions! It is just precious! So cute! A tip for tying bows from my grandma is to do the first loop with the bottom tie, then use the top tie to complete the bow. Then you end up with the ties on the bottom and the loops on top and not askew. Hard to verbally explain but it works every time!

The breakfast nook area is absolutely adorable. I love the plates and how you have them arranged. The botanical floral pictures are perfect for the other wall. I love the plate wall❤ reminds me of my Grandmother that collected plates and she had them running around her whole living room. I might have to pull them out and take a look at them. We have never taken them out of the box.

Nicole, this looks so good. I love the white, I think basket weave plate especially and even those green HG transfer ware ones. I’m gonna look for those, green is my fav color. That vase is amazing too! The whole nook turned out so good! I so wish I had a local thrift store that wasn’t Goodwill. Our goodwills aren’t even good. I feel like our antique stores are so high priced too! I have to drive a couple hours away to get to some decent ones.

This corner is perfect for the kitchen! I did a plate wall in my dining room but I had a hard time figuring out the layout design. Plates are a fun change from art.

Excellent job on the plates! I have been doing plate walls since the 70s, when I got married. I really love the random, scattered look the best. And that rust colored plate is stunning! I like everything you do, and enjoy hearing your thought processes. Your boys will remember that special nook you made for them with such love and care.

I love plate walls, and would so do one if i had the space! The green plates from HG are gorgeous, green Is my favorite color.😊 The vase really is pretty, is it metal or a pottery material?
