I LOVE their waxes. I use a 50/50 blend of their coco and oo and it’s AMAZING. Very wood-wick friendly too!

Michael, were you aware of Sixteen Seventeen Closing their doors? What a disappointment that they lied to their customers with the ruse of moving to a new facility. Now I have to find a wax comparable to No. 7 & 9 and start testing all over again with new wax and vessels. To say I'm pissed would be an understatement!

I thought they were moving too. At least that is what they posted on their website. I'm so glad I never bought large amounts of materials. I love their vessels and still have a few left.

I had no idea they were going to be closing, I tried to reach the owner via DM and got no response. I'm truly sorry because I'm in the same boat, I used all their fragrance oils in all my candles, and now I'm just going to have to start from scratch.

@@CandleRomance There are many of us so disappointed Michael. I switched to their wax about 6 months ago, went through all the testing and now having to start over again is so maddening! I wish us all luck going forward Michael! Thank you for replying to me.

I'm also very dissappointed with these news. I had no idea they were going to be closing down. I'm also stuck with not having access to their products since all my candle line depends on their fragrance oils, vessels, wax, wicks, etc. They must had have a very good reason.

Hive & Honey is going to carry the #7, #9 waxes and FO’s. I’ve been discussing vessels and wax with my mentor, which I bought from 1617. I’m interested in the OO wax, though and the Seraphina vessels. I only have a certain number of Evermore’s, then I’ll have to choose another vessel. Whatever happened to the owner was something truly awful. I pray the owner and staff can recover from whatever happened. I wish them only love and blessings.

Michael, what happened to 16/17… just got an email that they closed. They have great FO and waxes.. that’s would be very unfortunate. Let us know if you know something or what you recommend us.

It said on their website that they are moving to a new location. I live 20 minutes from them and was going to shop there soon. I love their vessels.

I have no idea what the story is, I tried to contact the owner via DM and not heard from them yet. For whatever the reason it must've been a hard decision to take. I understand the frustration from everyone, including myself since I'm going to start reformulating my candles again.

I totally wish I could find a fragrance oil that is perfume grade that comes in a glass bottles. I'm so lost without 1617. 😢

There's a candle supply company that is working on duping 16/17's fragrance oils. hiveandhoneycandleco.com I'll make a video to update when they are available again, in the meantime that supplier is working in getting the No.7 wax (Soy Bliss) also coming soon.

I've tested Apri-Coco from Makesy and was never able to get a good CT/HT.

@@CandleRomance I have heard wonderful things about Dulceria Creations (and their products). I've never heard of using olive wax until you mentioned it a few videos back. In all honesty, with your experience & gift of beautiful candles (seeking the feelings they illicit), would you recommend the olive wax as an equally clean/nontoxic/vegan alternative? And is it more or less expensive?

@@user-jj5fo3xe3k IMO this wax is one of the best wax I've ever used, and yes it's at the same level of other waxes that I've tested before. Try a small amount and see for yourself how nice it is, and especially since it has no curing time you'll be able to make and enjoy your candles without the wait of typical waxes.
