I usually love these DIY candy kits, but this one just kept making me think, "That looks disgusting." Thanks for showing us though! It's still interesting to see!

On that "That looks disgusting." note, I'd like to see how Covid self-test kit in Japan works... is it the same everywhere, or if it's different over there? All I know is, with the experience japanesestuffchannel have over the years, anything mundane or disgusting may turn out to be great!

I'm not sure if the cream part was drained properly? There's another video of this kit somewhere where the cream is drained more and it doesn't look disgusting. I'm not sure which video is better tasting though.

I love melon cream soda usually so this kit interests me. The procedure looks fun actually especially the milk separation part. lt's almost like a cooking science experiment. The final product doesn't look appetizing admittedly... but I would still try it. It looks bad but probably tastes fine😆

I’ve always been able to count on both you and Deco to share with us the latest and greatest treats and gadgets on the market. I would have been hesitant to try this one, but you seem to approve, so I may still give it a chance 🖤🖤🖤

I really thought the milk was gonna end up as cheese
@ManticorePinion2 жыл бұрын
It is. Separating it made curds, which became the "ice cream" and whey which became the soda.

@acexkeikai2 жыл бұрын
well basically it seperated into curds and whey so yeah you could make cheese if you salt it and compress it. The powder used is probably citric acid (concentrated lemon juice in powder form) you can replicate this easily at home... though if you want cheese you are going to need a LOT of milk.
@ivamanral9892 жыл бұрын
It's just sweet cottage cheese
@ManticorePinion2 жыл бұрын
@@acexkeikai The curds are cheese, just a different kind of cheese. Cottage or pot cheese.

Interesting, I know when water is separated, it becomes milk curd/cheese? Think the powder is icing sugar/powder? So it becomes candy? At first I thought water is useless, but when you put frizzy powder in, it becomes soda 🥤. This is so creative. Thank you 😊
@angeltt43902 жыл бұрын
the "water" that is seperated from the milk is called whey - its used in many things including dried to make protein powders. I didnt know it was used to make a soda though - perhaps this is where Milkis soda comes from

Makes me wish Poppin Cooking had an American branch of candy based science projects. (Or at least instructions for those of us who cannot read Japanese would be nice too.) I go to church with a little girl who's Mom (one of my dearest friends at that place) is all about these hands on projects. I'd absolutely be buying some of these for her on Holidays.
