DIY Captain America Helmet - The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Today I'm building John Walker's Captain America Helmet from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Today is the season finale. I'm am really hyped for it. So I decided to make something from that show. The helmet is very similar to Steve Rogers' helmet. With a few different details and color choices . I used my Captain America Foam Pepakura File Template and it worked out perfectly for it.
If you don't put the star on the forehead and paint it black, you can also make his new US AGENT Helmet for your own Cosplay.

Yeah. That’s what I was looking for. The scene was so dark. Hard to see. You’re right. It probably doesn’t have the wings anymore. I’ll build it again down the road if I have to.

Great work as always stealth! If your looking for something to make I suggest Shinso's mask from MHA, just a suggestion since I really liked your build on Lida's helmet.

Love the tutorial (as always) incredible work. Question: it looks like you're cutting the wedge cuts out on the patterns and then taping them together and then having to flatten the pieces to trace onto foam?

Yes. I explained this in the Pepakura tutorial. Heat shaping will bring the curve back. It’s a hack.

i'd recommend sewing the elastic band onto a hard piece of strap and glue that strap to the foam with contact cement, it won't come undone in time then, elastic might lose its glue.

I know this is weird but every time I see Captain America I think of that MIB scene where Will Smith makes fun of all the special forces. "What's so funny?" "Your Boy Captain America over here, the best of the best of the best Sir... (salutes) with honors" I think you look fine in it, Wasn't the Punisher, Captain America one time?

Algo-rhythm blues... Another "simple" pattern but still detailed :) Have you thought of using foam clay as a seam sealer?

I’ve thought about it more for personal projects where I wanna go all out. I try keep materials simple by design for people that maybe can’t afford foam clay and fancy things like that. Others can do what they like be more resourceful and creative and apply more time and care on their projects with things like that. 😎👌🏼

You need to download that pepakura designer software to use them. It’s a building system that I explained in the intro. Without the software you can’t even open the template file.
