Because he won't have an External speaker. You would have to have a blue tooth speaker or ear pods.

I had an fm radio app on a Samsung ace 2 that required you to plug into the audio jack to get signal through your headphones

Thanks but I don’t feel like shorting my phone (Im a mechanical, and electrical engineer). Guys please be safe and know that if it doesn’t short, then the antenna is gonna get really hot, to a dangerous level, so unless you enjoy high amounts of electricity flowing through your body, then please don’t be “special” if you know what I mean

Well this post did work for what I was trying to do. I know better than to do any of this foolishness, but I was hoping there would be someone in the comments just like you. Do you happen to know any info about a DIY booster for those who can't afford the high dollar ones

"High amounts of electricity" LOL. Its only running on 2 amps, not to mention an earphone cable plugged into the 3.5mm Port is SUPPOSED TO act as an antenna for phones with FM radios, PLUS, shorting the two AUDIO wires is not going to short out the phone, dummy. 'Electrical engineer" my ass. LOL

3.7V '' high amounts of electricity? You must be a great electrical engineer buddy. Also jack is short protected by the mosfet. but anyway I am no electrical engineer so don't take my word for it
