DIY Chassis for AREX Delta (illegal in USA)

After a couple of beers we decided to convert a Recover Tactical chassis to work with the Arex Delta pistols. Originally this chassis was made for a Glock 19 but with small modifications and replacement slide cover plate it works with the Delta handguns.
This Recover tactical 20/20 chassis has a minimalistic polymer construction that helps stabilize the pistol with a side folding stock. When the chassis is installed it is still possible to shoot with the pistol with a normal two handed grip.
We also offer a special holster that can be used with this chassis installed - it offers good retention and completely covers the trigger guard.
If there is enough interest we can offer this chassis with a pistol brace instead of a normal stock.

Fortunately for us that is not what the 2nd Amendment says so all gun laws prohibiting arms are infringements and are unlawful. We only have such unlawful laws because they are not challenged and stopped based on 2nd Amendment law. We simply need to challenge such unlawful gun law legality and not comply or consent. Governments can only govern by consent.

Definitely illegal in the states without registering the host gun as an SBR. There's a brace version as well but the AFT is busy trying to change the law without congress again so we'll see what happens with that. EDIT: Brace version for the other firearm models that is. Their glock 19 version is compatible with the PSA dagger if you're feeling cheap, but much like the one shown, they do not have a compatible charging handle so you'd want an optic on it.

It is still going on, only the plaintiffs in the cases have an injunction that protects them from being considered felons. Otherwise having anything in the R.T. chassis is illegal and is the same charge as having a machine gun. But hey at least it's stopping criminals from hurting people, right? That's what the "rule" is for, so that's what it does. ATF logic.

im pretty sure if it wasnt illegal in the US something like this would be pretty normal on an everyday carry pistol. imagine how small a professional design could be that has been improved for 20 years, it could allso open itself automaticly when you take it out of the holster for fast deploy.

@Ian-ml5vj no, not on a national level at least, cant speak on a individual state that pushed some crap like this. Generally iff it's legal in your state, you're able to use it in self-defence (Using a transferable machine gun might be a bit much). Just be ready to justify why you used what you used to a jury which would happen with anything you used, flashlight, red dot, anything really. Plus, you can get a non stamped version of it.

Foregrips are ok in USA if you pay the silly $200 tax stamp and register your pistol as an SBR but honestly I find them a bit terrifying as if they break your hand is now in front of the muzzle. There are some work arounds though, some people have designed some pistol chassis to have an extra mag slot which is much more sturdy and less likely to slide off than a bolted on foregrip meant for rifles where your hands are further away from the muzzle. But yeah still ok to flex on our dumb NFA laws that should have never been allowed in the first place but media and hype scared people into passing illegal laws.

Last time I checked if the grip wasnt 90 degrees it was fine to use. However the ATF changes it's mind constantly and just looks for a reason to shoot your dog.

yeah there are some weirdness to it a Magpul AFG or a "handstop" technically are allowed anything with a 90 degree angle is more "deadly" because reasons. The whole NFA and we are ATF we write the rules as we go is really bad and needs to be done away with.@@CaptDestro

Very cool! I thought about why call this pistol Delta. In math terms, delta means, "rate of change". In the case of this pistol, it's interesting to see all the variations you can do with the slides, and different frames. Looking forward to seeing more innovation out there.

Rt 20/21 I have one using .45auto. This guy is an idiot He says alot of false info. It is very sturdy. As much as it needs to be. There is some flex but nothing that is worrisome. The brace flexes a tiny bit under fire but absorbs some recoil. The rest is almost solid but whatever does flex is not permanent. It is glass infused polymer. Harder than glock frames. I shoot 45super/460rowland no problem. However, it increases slide cycling speed substantially on large frame glocks. I suggest a DPM guide rod as it has a built in shock buffer. Super useful for woods, truck, home defense. More customizable than any other platform. The sky is the limit. I never seen the same setup twice unless it is the basics. I find the mag holder useless but still works as a front grip without a mag. I prefer to just setup my WML there. A lader is good for it also for CQB.

@@Vanalos yep new german gun laws are that you can only have 2 magazines that fit the same gun and they can only hold 10 rounds in long guns and 20 rounds in short guns. If you have a Glock and an AR15 that takes glock mags then you can only have 2 10 round glock mags. If you didnt have the AR15 then you can have 2 20 round mags.

Could easily replace a SMG as a body guards weapon, extends the practical range for suppression fire and increase the hit probability on medium ranges, as increase of the rpm going downrange, safer for the innocent bystanders. Even if a FN MAG will be the best cure, having a swarm of 9mm coming in to You, you will take cover/concealment and probably stop shooting while doing so, mission completed.

In my understanding in Finland conversion kits are legal to have and use in pistols. But small inconvenience is those had be to be able to put on and uninstal whitout tools. Because otherwise those would be categorised as permament modifications and needs new type of permit for that gun. Replacing that one hex screw with something what can be used by fingers. Then it should fly low enough to avoid unnecessary attention.

@@Kesssuli I’m currently building a Flux Raider at the moment (mostly because I want to step away from carrying a full rifle in my car since I live near the city and commute there often.) But when I saw Ziga post the video of this chassis on their insta, I decided to just give it a shot. At best, I’ll use this as my new car/motorcycle gun. Worst case, it gets used as a range toy. Either way, I’m pretty pleased with it ergonomics wise, and I look forward to my next range trip with it.

That is the "totally a stock" version. There is another version that is a brace and is not a stock. A buddy of mine had one and when using it didn't risk you going to jail for 10 yrs and a 250k fine, the brace actually worked better than any other I had tried. It is absolutely a "totally a brace" version and works excellent as a brace.

If you use this with an Ameriglo Haven, the chassis needs some minor mods or the buttons will hit it as it cycles the slide. RMR/Holosun is good to go however.

Hey Žiga since as you said irons are hard to use with the chassis just 3d print (or machine) an AR style charging handle that interfaces with the rear sight mount (in effect it replaces the rear sight).

the ironic part about the foregrip being illegal in the US is that those folding grips also tend to cover up the trigger guard, acting as a safety for if you decide to use a sling instead of a holster 🤦‍♂

Putting a buttstock on a pistol makes it a short barrel rifle in the usa and its illegal unless you register the firearm as an sbr(short barrel rifle) with the bureau of alcohol, tabacco, firearms and explosives(atf)before installing the chassy. It costs 200 u.s. dollars to register your pistol as an sbr. That said that chassy would sell well in the usa, and you can legally purchase the chassy just not install until the pistol is registered as an sbr.

At this point Americans may as well get the stock version and a switch if they are going to get one of these because it's the same charge for having that chassis with a stock as it is with a brace. And it is also the same charge to have a switch on it as it is to have it in the chassis with a stock or a brace. So much sense! Definitely stops criminals, that's for sure!

If you don't register, pay and wait for approval, it is illegal to put a stock or vertical grip on a pistol. If i understand correctly, even pistol braces are in hot water at the moment...

Dremel down the brace not the gun the 20/80 may work but you will have to make the beaver tail fit additional to the rear of the slide I’m planning on making a 2/80 work for a M&p 5.7 the rear angle seems close enough just have to file down where the slide moves

This is type of Gun what i want all police to have. The B&T USW Is my favourite so far, its so much more stable/accurate and since police dont need to conceal their weapons the added size doesnt matter that much. Here in Europe police dont train to shoot Unarmed Black people every day. So the increaded stability and accuracy is a huge plus!

With all that why not also have the optic mounted to the frame to avoid unnecessary movement. Also with the slide mounted optic that's also just throwing extra weight around and adding recoil. Very nice build but I would've changed a few things

just make a fat steel rear sight that is either wide enough (&suppressor height) to act as a T handle OR a barrel shaped rear notch sight that has threads in either side to be able to thread in a charging handle on either side (or both sides).... theyll slide right into existing dovetails and replace the factory sight, just use a small m2 set screw in the notch. the bonus is you can make them for Arex, glock, sig, basically any handgun with a sturdy dovetail. I discussed this with my father just last month. please, make it happen & if you do, can I get one?
