DIY Chevron Friendship Bracelet

OPEN ME FOR MEASUREMENTS and more information...
MEASUREMENTS:
To create a bracelet that is 8 strands wide (like the blue one I demonstrated with in this video)...
+ Cut 4 strands, 60 inches long each for a BUTTON CLOSURE BRACELET
OR
+ Cut 8 strands, 30 inches each for a TRADITIONAL BRACELET (tie on, cut off)
+ 6 strand wide bracelet? Cut 3 strands - 50 inches each (or 6 strands, 25 inches each)
+ 10 strand bracelet? Cut 5 strands - 70 inches each (or 10 strands, 35 inches each)
LIKE FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS?
DIY Double Knot Bracelet -- • DIY Double Knot Bracelet
DIY Striped/Solid Bracelet -- • DIY Friendship Bracele...
MATERIALS: embroidery floss, scissors, tape/clipboard
For a BUTTON CLOSURE bracelet, fold the strands in half, form a knot about 1/2 inch from the top (creating a loop), & start your bracelet.
For a TRADITIONAL bracelet, just create a knot 2-3 inches from the top & start your bracelet.

Oof. A tip I gave my sister it to try and make the knots a bit tighter. Hold the string you’re looping it around straight and make sure that it makes the knot without tying the other string too. Hopefully you understand what I mean and it helps 😅

here is advice ....just keep practicing it on small pieces of strings ...not really small but also not really big ...this will make your hands get used to knotting....once you have done that it will be a piece of cake ....by the way I did that and it worked really well

This is absolutely one of the prettiest and easiest bracelets I've ever seen. Coordination is a must for those getting frustrated. I adore the CHEVRON STYLE especially with seed beads. Or adding beads to this bracelet. You do an amazing job of showing your tutorials slow and easy. Thanks. Cleaver way to make a gorgeous bracelet or choker. :-)

Thank you for the tutorial, at first I get discouraged by the people in the comments who said it is hard, your instructions were unclear and such. However, it's a good thing I tried it for myself and with patience, the result is beautiful. Thank you very much! Edit: I also want to say if some people are having difficulties, please be patient, this is really easy and try to decrease the playback speed if you wish, it is what I did and it really helps

Thank you for the simple and clear instructions! I haven't made a friendship bracelet in probably 18-20 years, and I absolutely love it! It turned out perfectly, and I got to listen to a podcast while I knotted the bracelet.

Me too! But there are different types of knots maybe you guys did normal knots instead of forward knots! I did a basic knot at first!

I never even tried until I wanted to so something simple but cute that ment something for a friend and I found this video! Its surprisingly super easy! Its already turning out super cute! For anyone trying to make this and it’s too hard, I would recommend trying the twisted friendship bracelet. It’s the same knot but less complicated. It’s also really quick to do, unlike this one which takes a lot of time and practice
