DIY Collage Tissue Paper

A demonstration of how to make beautiful collage tissue paper. This paper can then be used in mixed media projects like collaged tags or journal cards, or as an embellishment on a journal page.

Great idea! Somehow I never thought to collage stamps, so this is a great way to reuse the supplies we already have on hand.

I've been doing lots of collaging. I love the idea od doing it on sewing patterns, parchment paper, tissue paper...I have lots of those to use up!!

Your tissue turned out beautiful. I’ve stamped one or two things on tissue that I wanted to use before but I just did it as I needed it. I think it’s a better idea that you had to do a whole sheet and then it’s ready. It never occurred to me to put the chalks on it, I don’t think I have any chalk but I’m sure there’s something I could use.

Thank you Lyn! Chalks work, pan pastels also work and other powdered pigments, but these are way pricey. Distress and other inks work, but use a light touch with the applicator.

Very cool. Great idea to customize your own. Just a little clarification, you're using the dull side of the tissue, right?? Also wonder how the waste papers from the napkins would work?? I loved the sewing pattern one!! TFS Hugs * L

Yes - I should have mentioned that the paper has a dull side, although some types of tissue is a little more even on both sides. The waste paper from napkins would also work, but it is WAY more fragile in the stamping process than the tissue, meaning that it rips more easily. I really like stamping on the sewing tissue. I just like the bit of color it leaves behind when I use it in a project.
