The concrete needs to be looser and will pour better with less screeding. Looks good tho

If you're coating it why do you make it out of concrete? Stained concrete would have more value correct?

Z forms are trash. I use regular lumber wrapped in packing tape with silicone caulking in the corners, 3000 psi cement only mix (different than concrete) with pea gravel and 2% liquid calcium chloride. After thousands of sqft of countertops this is by far the best method i have found

Wait you recomend doing 100% cement with wire and no aggregate? So i would do fine with the 90lbs bags of cement from depot?

I love the idea but the cost of the cheap plastic forms that you throw away is outrageous.

We used their feather finish to replicate a MicroCement finish.
@mobaumeister27327 күн бұрын
If you’re using it as a kitchen counter, ardex will look rubbish in no time as it doesn’t have the hardness of microcement. Microcement is a polymer based product, kind of like a mix of resin and cement.

Just a quick misconception to everyone choice of words on concrete. You do not pour concrete, workers Concrete is placed in the desired location. Great job on how well the counter top finished out.
@inkspill91897 ай бұрын
It sure poured out of that bucket they weren’t placing it with there hands or any tools. I hate when I was in the union and they would correct that term not even true masons say placing concrete because no one actually grabs the concrete and places it we throw it and pour it.

Don't ever ever pour concrete on counter top. Tell your client to get dem granite. Concrete is disgusting, I have it - speaking from experience.
