It should be really easy to find a used disk here in the Bluegrass State. This thing works great and I use it a lot when truck camping. Thanks for watching!

Making your own is cool. Academy is selling the cooker disk and all for $99 this year. It’s a 20” disk alternative. Thanks Chris
@KentuckyWoodsman
@KentuckyWoodsman 5 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a fair deal. It is far easier to buy than to make, but making your own is neat too. Thanks for watching Calvin!

How awesome is that! Very kewl! I've seen a couple youtubers cooking with one of these. I'll have to check with a couple of farmer friends of mine and see if they have an old disks lying around. Can't wait to see what you cook up.

Man I can’t imagine a 30 inch wok! This one I made is 18 inches and seems huge. I bought this one used off eBay for about 10 dollars what does one new cost? Thanks for watching John.

Heck of an idea, now i gotta keep eye out for disc. Heck most folks around here just take then in for scrap or paint them up like they do old saw blades with farm scenes, this is alot more useful... now if i can just get ahold of a JD metalworks one....
@KentuckyWoodsman
@KentuckyWoodsman 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I ended up buying one off of ebay for 10.00. Definitely better to use one for cooking than painting. I hope you find you one and I appreciate you watching!

Cool beans. Are you going to weld three legs, to be able to put on top of a wood fire? Where did you buy the disc?
@KentuckyWoodsman
@KentuckyWoodsman 5 жыл бұрын
I am thinking I will build a stand to set it on. That way if I want to use it over a propane burner and such the legs wont get in the way. I actually purchased this disc off of ebay for like 10 dollars, but they are fairly easy to get if you are in farming country. Thanks for watching Nathan!

A plow disc is normally made from L80 steel. Thick, heavy, and will last for generations when taken care of properly. Well worth the few extra bucks. Plus the satisfaction of creating something that can become a treasured heirloom.
