I made this! To wear at my friends wedding and got a tons of compliments! And the video and instructions that came with the pdf were so helpful! It was actually fairly simple, the hardest part was working with the material. I used a silky crepe which draped beautifully but moved a lot so I took a TON of time to pin it very well. I only wished I had taken the time to print the pattern on A4 paper at a print shop instead of printing at home and tiling it all together, I think it’s definitely worth it to go to a print shop and have your pattern all on one paper. I cut out a size 8 and it fit me so dang good. Because I had extra material I was able to make a matching tie for my partner and matching masks. One of my favorite dresses now! ❤️

Lovely pattern and easy to cut but instructions are kind of hard to follow, I wouldn’t have know it was a French seam that was being done so I had to look it up and how to place the straps was very hard to understand the , first dress I made made didn’t come out right so I had to buy more fabric and follow another tutorial for the top part of the dress but it came out beautiful this time.

Beautiful dress and design. However, it's not a top stitch, but an under stitch. Topstitch is seen on the front side, understitch is done to make the facing or second layer lay beautiful and keeps it from rolling

I really don’t understand making the seams only appear on the inside, why can’t we just stitch it with outside facing in to make the seams actually on the inside? Genuine question I am very confused, if anyone can help I’d really appreciate it thank you!

@@ValE-rw7ty I figured out that it’s actually really easy! Just look up how to do a “French seam” and you will see very quickly what she did:)

@@Annathetailor i’m having a hard time cutting this pattern because there is no cutting instructions, do you cut on fold with your pattern piece or no?

@@daishab6216 fold fabric on diagonal and put the pattern where it says “fold” to the folded diagonal line. Make sure you’ve got enough fabric to cut both big panels on bias. Let me know if that helps.

@@Annathetailor are you aware that you didn’t include the front facing into the pattern and the back facing says 1 but it seems you need two pieces? or maybe i’m not following the video well?
