Hi and thank you for your video. I would like to know for a 2010 pajero gen4 with manual gearbox, it is also the same process (add the cruise control buttons and the pin for the brake pedal) or is there a need to have other elements or manipulations ? Thank you for your answer

Thanks for this video, it explains a lot, maybe you can answer my question. I've got a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander 2nd Generation, Imported to New Zealand from Japan, 2006 - , I bought the complete steering wheel and brake light switch from a 2007 Lancer, but when I went to install it, my outlander already have a 4pin brake light switch, but only 2 wires going to the switch. I installed the new steering wheel and connected everything, the radio buttons work, but the cruise buttons does absolutely nothing. Is it possible that this one model Outlander from Japan does not have the wiring and software to retrofit the OEM cruise control?

Unfortunately that model doesn't have cruise control wired up. 2 wires going to the brake pedal switch is already a sign.

I have read the comments below but I still have some questions. Do I just need to buy the 4pin module 8614A183 for the manual transmission and the steering wheel control switches and it will work? No servomotor or ECU is required? I have a 4M40 2.8 2008 manual transmission. Please advise. Thanks.

I have never seen a gen4 pajero with a 4m40 2.8 This engine is for gen2. Anyway this will not work on a 4m40 as it is mechanically controlled. This procedure only works on pajero with drive by wire throttle system.

i installed media and cruise buttons. + 4pin brakelight switch. media buttons work. i can turn on and off the cruise light in the dashboard, but it does not let me set speed or react to any of the 3 other buttons. only button for cruise that works is the on/off button. any input? 😅

Vid is great and probably the only one on KZfaq but there so many questions if you are not a pro. - how to discharge residual voltage - my assembly has two ground wires. Which I goes where? - does the clock spring has free harness or do I need to unplug one and insert the one from the assembly? Which you could record the process of shocking up closer but thanks anyway.

1. Disconnect the battery, then turn on the headlights and tunlrn ignition key on for about 3-5 seconds to discharge residual voltage 2. Which assembly are you talking about? 3. The clock spring has an available socket and this is where you plug the connector on the harness that comes with the buttons.

Thank you very much! Installed everything as you said. Works great so far! Took me some time to find a connector on the clock spring. It is kinda hidden their. As far as I understand th cruise control doesn’t work below 40km/h?

Search mo si Noel de leon, taga dubai siya. Nag iinstall siya ng cruise control sa lancer. If you want to do it yourself 1. Replace steering wheel na pang full options or GT na may cruise control buttons. 2. Replace brake pedal switch PN 8614A183 3. Route 2 wires from ECU cruise control trigger pins papunta sa steering column. Connect to cruise control on/off pins. 4. Activate cruise control sa ECU via etacs using MUT3 ot etacs decoder software.

Yes. But it is more complicated as it needs adding 2 wires from the ECU to the steering wheel column. It will also require activating cruise control on etacs.

Hi, I’ve got Basic ASX 2015, I added media switch and cruise control switch in steering wheel, media switches works well, cruise control side, the lights works but cruise control doesn’t function. What are the additional changes to be done? Any other way to contact you other than FB?

@MitsubishiAsx-tb7vu you also need to install the brake pedal switch. Then for ASX you need to activate the cruise control on the car's computer using etacs decoder or MUT3 device.

Yes. This mod is for all gen4 pajero (2007-2021) The steering wheel.buttons costs 300 to 400 dhs from the scrap yards. The brake pedal switch costs 50 dhs bnew from al habtoor.

If you don't see the cruise indicator iluminate when you turn it on it is possible that the clock spring or the buttons are defective.

If the gen3 brake pedal switch socket has 4 pins, then most probably it will also work.
