Wonder if it's possible to wire it to run 2 batteries at a time for double the power...🤔 Any input?

Are these still operating 2 years later?

The oldest one is 3 years old and still going strong. I think they have ran like 200hrs or maybe even 300hrs. They usually run for 8hrs straight. They have exceeded my expectations!

I am trying to make this right now, and the elctrical confuses me a little bit. Mainly, I dont understand how 20v from your battery can go to a 24 v amp and a 12v switch/usb ports. From your drawing it looks like you have the 20v battery wire going into the main switch, and then on the output port of the switch you go to the amp and to your accessories. Are both of these outputs 20v or 12v? Not sure how the amp can get 20 v and the usb gets 12v out of the main switch when the input is 20v. Awesome build by the way, your video is very thorough 😁

I am soooo pumped your building one! 😆🙌 Anyway, yes I take the 20v main power to a 12v switch (which can handle the extra voltage) to turn on the amp and the 5v power supply. The 5v charging ports I bought can handle 12 to 24v. But technically dewalt batteries are running at volts at 18v so we aren’t going to crazy. The amp is slightly being under power. But still sounds great. Yes everything is running at the full 20v ish. Let me know if you have any other questions! I will be glad to help. I would love to see a picture after your done. 😁

What kind of battery life are you getting out of this? Have you measured the decibles? Cool build man.

I’m getting about 6hrs of run time on a 4 amp hour battery, at about full power. I don’t know how many decibels it’s pushing. But, I’m blown away on how loud and how nice the bass sounds on it. I’m thinking of building a 3rd one. I can’t get my 1st build back from a friend lol.

It will run about 6-8 hours on a 6 amp battery. 🤔 But if need more power. You could run 2 batteries in series. To double the voltage, but you would need a different amplifier. I think they make a 48 volt one. That would probably sound amazing! The amplifier I used can handle up to 24v.
