Living in an appartement building, I use my small appartementbox as a shop. Because of the folding part I can store it easily. Also no big heavy engine needed. I really like it!

That makes me want to use the bearings I just took out of an old ceiling fan to build one..I think it's an awsum addition to any shop, even if your like me and my shop is on a picknik table on the back porch, thus being portable makes more sense..Thanks Izzy, Major Like and two Thumbs Up !!

Very good design and just as complex as it needs to be to do the job...x checked out a few other videos on the same subject man "The first thing you will need is a router, router table, circle cutter etc etc etc" it really gets my goat what is the point of teaching entry level projects with expert level tools....x good work as usual good on you dude.

Nice project Izzy - store it on the shelf and pull it out when needed. One question - Disc sander vs Belt sander - when would you use one isntead of then other? Scott
@Joe-hv4xr
@Joe-hv4xr 9 жыл бұрын
+The 2 Car Garage Shop The big benefit of the disc sander is that the platen that holds the paper is rigid and (ideally) remains flat. The belt on a belt sander is trying to become a circle as it spins. In any case, using the disc sander is a great way to dress up ends for things like miters (can sneak up on angles easily) and if your table is square to the disc it will also take care of any alignment issues with your cutting tools. When you have a radius or other shape - you can rough cut and sand to the line fairly easily.Belt sanders work better for surfacing and removing a lot of material. The longer belt avoids overheating compared to discs and flat sanders. When downward pressure is applied, it also is able to reasonably maintain a flat surface for rough smoothing wood quickly.
