How to make a chicken feeder: In this video we show step by step how to make a chicken feeder. Super easy! Super cheap! Anybody can make this feeder. It's very easy to build.
This feeder is good for feeding chickens, keeping pests out, keeping rain out, keeping the feed clean, and keeping the chickens from spreading the feed all out on the ground.

I have to tell you young man, you did a superb job describing the project and the concept! Bravo to you. I took your idea and modified my hopper feeder with the two PVC joints. I used 3” PVC. The chickens would empty the hopper and waste a lot of feed. Your video sparked me to build mine and it works! My Bantams took to it immediately. I have 6 feeding ports on the hopper which holds about 35-40 lbs of feed. You should be proud! You taught this guy who has 50+ years on you a good lesson! AND thank you very much!

This is the same ideal as home made deer feeders. A little hint if you will drill a few small holes in the bottom of the bottom 90 and put a small amount of gravel in it will allow the rain to drain out thus minimizing lost feed. Hope this helps. Great video.😊😊😊😊😊

If you cut a small hole and put the 90 through the hole, you could feed them from the outside. But love the overall idea, and great presentation. 🤗

GREAT JOB !! I am going to the store right now to buy the PVC pipe material. I am going to have to put mine on the outside of the wooden coup with the ends inside the coup. Just got 11 laying hens...you are so cute. I'm 63 but when I was 13 I was a member of the FFA and we had 500 head of hog and cattle. I loved being innovative back..back then..so doing this. Need that waterer video. Keep it up

You said the rain does not get in it (2:17) Great to keep mice out but the rain is going to soak the feed just like in those reversed bucket type feeders. You need to place a 45 modified elbow on top of your feeder and cut it so that rain is totally excluded. Alternatively place a cover across all 3 feeders so that the rain never gets in.. Top job young man.
