Loved the plate video. Thanks for sharing. Great ideas. Just read an article in American Miniaturist magazine about decorating dollhouse plates with Sharpie markers and then varnishing them. Some may prefer that as it is less expensive then painting unless you already have paint in the house. I tried an Ukrainian embroidery design on mine. Stella

you have some very good ideas for making plates! I love them! May I caution you that polymer clay dust is really bad to inhale and is most often filed in water using wet/dry sand paper.

THANK You! Wonderful how-to video. I tried your idea for using a metal washer. Worked beautifully. I also tried baking the plate by leaving it on the flat washer AND placing another washer on top. It kept my rims flat.
